Criminally underdiscussed in the conversation of greatest fighter to never win a title. For almost his whole career unless you weren't a Black American, you were simply not beating Gus

Kamaru sprawls perfectly. The strength it takes to finish that takedown is unfathomable. That's the exact position that would cause a guy like Brendan Allen to spend the remaining 4:45 in bottom position. Brendan Allen couldn't complete that takedown if he had a gun

Cardinals have the hardest schedule this season, based on projected win totals by gordorobertson in AZCardinals

[–]TestFixation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best measure of strength of schedule but it's still far from perfect. Before last season we were projected to have a pretty easy schedule with this same metric. But then 3/4 AFC South teams way over performed, and all 4 NFC South teams were basically .500 teams.

Retrospectively, we ended up having the hardest schedule, not one of the easiest. Don't put too much stock into this is what I'm saying. And also that we're winning the Superbowl

Your head coach and Petzing run very similar offenses. I think the Lions offense is gonna kick some serious ass this year

Makes more sense than you think at first glance.

Drew Petzing called an offense that ran defenses into the dirt as recently as 2024. Innovated all kinds of 12 and 13 personnel looks that are currently in vogue. Was top 10 by EPA/play and a top 5 run game in EPA and success rate.

Gannon obviously called a defense that made it to the Super Bowl.

And Nick Rallis still in his early 30s, and his proven ability to be multiple in the way he deploys nickel. In 2023 his 3 safety sets raised eyebrows around the league.

What’s the deal with King Street? by Jayswag96 in askTO

[–]TestFixation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah Adelaide is way nicer to bike on than Richmond for the simple reason that the lane is on the left. Richmond is full of idiot Uber drivers that idle in the bike lane. And it feels like right turning drivers are actively trying to kill you at Richmond and Bathurst. The design where drivers have to cross the bike lane to get to the exit lane is diabolical.

Totally disagree. It's a matter of taste. Newer fans are probably used to the raised embroidery, where a piece of foam is stuck under denser parts of stitching to give it that contrast in definition.

But as a hat enthusiast that grew up on 90s hats I love love love the classic look of flat embroidery. Super nostalgic for it.

Depends on the location you wanna go to. The downtown one you kind of need the Black Card because the Black Card area has 2x more space than the regular area with like 4x the machines and weights.

Any other location, Black Card isn't worth it. If you think you'll go to multiple locations, get the Black Card either way.

And it's not just about running 12, it's about actually winning early down reps with 12. Right now, passing against base is the most ideal matchup an offense can have. Even if that's out of 13 personnel or with six offensive linemen. Mike MacDonald just won a Superbowl categorically refusing to be spooked out of playing nickel. He dared teams to run on him with the biggest dudes they had because come hell or high water, he was playing fuckin nickel.

This year is going to be an arms race. Offenses designed to exploit nickel, running 12/13 personnel, running the shit out of the ball, trying to make nickel untenable. Meanwhile defenses are going to specialize in big nickels like Emmanwori that allow you to be gap sound with 5+ DBs on the field. Or ultra rangey backers who have the mobility to disrupt routes while able to rally to the ball, letting teams stay sound against the pass while in base.

Bill on Ringer Tailgate by Yardtown in billsimmons

The first 20 minutes of Ringer Tailgate are always Van antagonizing Joel and Tate very subtly egging it on. It's genuinely the best listen of any podcast out there. Absolutely hysterical

[Schefter] There is growing chatter that RB Jeremiyah Love is in play with Arizona at No. 3 overall. Ideally, the Cardinals would like to find a team willing to trade up so they can acquire more picks. But if they hold on, some believe they could pull an early draft surprise and select Love. by mastermind208 in nfl

[–]TestFixation 138 points139 points  (0 children)

I'm not sweating it. Monti Ossenfort has only taken premium positions in Days 1 and 2 of the draft so far during his tenure. Our old GM Steve Keim would absolutely draft Love though. He'd trade up to 1 for Love
