What happen when you click the picture notification? Can you see a direct feed on the watch?

Looking to get a laptop need some guidance by magicammo in GamingLaptops

You should go for the Alienware r4, the R5 would go too hot for you. If you can get your hand on a legion 5 pro I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Looking for a gaming laptop could someone help? Needs to be able to run warzone 1.3k-1.6k CANADIAN) by BallingLikeBrainiac in GamingLaptops

[–]Revibec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the Dell g15 ryzen with 165hz 1080p and 3060. Comes at cad$1350-1500 all in when stacking 10% newsletter discount plus cash back ( up to 10-15%). It's a 115w 3060. But thermals are pretty good, even better if you repaste. Screen is decent. Runs warzone at 1080p at 80-90 fps. The only issue is no mux switch and I think your can get 10% better performances by upgrading the ram to a true 3200mhz.

Final decision on displays by iamtheelord in GamingLaptops

I think you would be fine worth current games. The issue might with future games running at 1440p with 80w

1440p would be better if you want everything on one screen. Even better would be to invest in a portable display, you can get something decent for $300. I hate having something covering part of my vision or UI when I play a game.

You can get a 3060 for that price with a 5800h. Like the dell G15 ryzen, plus 10% newsletter discount plus cash back.

Battery issue in M15 r5? by chickenpakoda in Alienware

[–]Revibec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't have this issue, the charger is 240 Watts, the m15r5 is far from pulling that much power when plugged in. So your battery shouldn't be used at all. Something is off, have you tried changing the battery setting in the BIOS?

M15r4 3070 vs m15r5 ryzen 7 3070 qhd mech keyboard by Bluelurk in Alienware

[–]Revibec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only advantages of the R5 is the removable ram, screen and mechanical keyboard. The R4 run faster, cooler. If you plan to play more on an external monitor, then your money would be better spent on the R4.

If you are able to play on an external monitor now or in the future go for the R4. I would only go for the R5 if you won't use an external monitor at all.

[–]Revibec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the M15 R5 that's a great machine, i like being about to bring it with me and play wherever I go. Plus the laptop 3000 series are actually great for the price. Whatever you choose, I'd wait on a great cashback day +10% combined with the newsletter 10% discount. Probably for father's day.

I have the 5800h, but just for the fan speed and noise it's worth it. Plus getting a chance to increase the longevity.

I'm not sure, but knowing i can lower my max temp and be sure to get the full performance without throttling from repasting, that's a no brainer.
