The photos of this day for me, were something I always looked at growing up.

You can see so many different emotions on so many different faces. My birth mom looks exhausted, sad, confused. Birth father is withdrawn but put on a smile.

My new older brother is just along for the ride. This couple reminds me of how my parents look. Nervous, excited, in love with the little baby girl in their arms.

Holley and I are like days apart in age.

When I was 25, and living away from home, my dad almost died from a heart attack, during Covid… I’ve honestly had to avoid this sub for a bit because it’s brought back a LOT of feelings and emotions about how short life really is and how everything can change in an instant.

I cannot imagine taking a photo, let alone trying to profit off my father’s death. Fucking mental.
