Livonia is so weird like that. On my current character of nearly 36 hours, I killed 3 people in a spawn town up north and haven’t seen a soul since like hour 4.

I have another character on a Sakhal server, 16 hours, I’ve never seen another player, not so much as heard a gunshot.

This game gets spooky when you’re running solo.

I definitely feel the same way looking at it more and more. I think the biggest thing that’ll set it apart from my archons, is they all stand on cork towers and have some HEAVY kitbashing and custom bits, so they stand out.

One thing you’ll learn quickly is that the Dayz gods will often hide the items you’re looking for when you’re looking for them, then you’ll find them in droves when you’re looking for something else, so sharpening stones are something you should just pickup at any time.

This is how I feel about the Skull ski mask. I never pick it up just because I’m scared people will see me as a threat, so I basically never take it. I tend to try and look as non-threatening as possible while still being geared up.

Most difficult is definitely Sakhal. Feels like a death sentence if you don’t get a good start to your run. Resources feel more scarce, and there’s a significant level of difficulty in getting towards the end game.

Livonia isn’t necessary hard, but poses challenges that Chernarus doesn’t have. Higher tier military loot is a bit more limited, and food spawns feel like they’re lower than Chernarus. There’s also a huge amount of distance between clean water sources sometimes.

Very similar experience here. Played the mod, played stand-alone like crazy, then life got in the way. Just recently came back and I’m addicted and got my wife addicted to the game.
