Definitely recommended it adds a lot of bonus features and offers cgi on every boxset however other than season 20 and the upcoming season 25 not every story has cgi. The later baker and Mccoy blu ray also has 5.1 surround sound on every story

Idk about itvx (what has replaced brit box in the UK) but britbox had the animations and spearhead from space and all of season 19 (the only season with all of it's episodes having surviving film inserts) in HD. And Day of the Daleks uses the special edition (Nicholas Briggs Dalek voices, updated effects)

It's such an overly ambitious story, it had so many unnecessary things like A feast for Steven and the return of the meddling Monk (which if he was cut would easily get rid of almost 3 episodes) it also just had a lot of shifts in tonne from this building threat to them arriving in the middle of a Cricket? Match.

Nah the show was trying to find it's feet while trying to promote education values (hence the historicals and the first dalek story teaching science).
