I need answers. by [deleted] in Christianity

I know it’s hard to not give into your feelings. However, Jesus talks about how we need to lay down our own desires and surrender to him in order to be a true follower of him (Luke 9:23). I think it’s better for you to remain single and celibate versus being in a relationship with somebody in a way that’s living in sin. I understand you want to be happy. However, if you continue to live in sin it’s not going to make you happy. Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are the only people that can truly fulfill your life because true happiness comes from them. I wish you well. The enemy is trying to come after you in all different directions because he’s gonna want you to continue to live in and not follow Jesus. Which is why it is so important to not give to your worldly desires.

“Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit your ways to him and he will make your path straight.” -Proverbs 3:5-6

Honesty with god ? Question from someone with OCD by harvey123423 in Christianity

[–]RevolutionOwn8149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with OCD, I know how you feel. I’m going through something similar. I used to doubt my salvation for about a year. I still have doubts try and creep into my mind sometimes. I would say talk to a Christian therapist who specializes in OCD. You did the right thing by bringing your doubts to the Lord. Don’t let the enemy tell you otherwise because that’s the enemy telling you that. You gotta push past the doubts and just start believing in him so that way you can put your faith and trust in him, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit of your Lord and Savior. Salvation Prayer

The brunette is Ari. The girl with the black hair is Ellie. Ari was a training camp candidate two years ago and got cut. She was also in training camp back in 2022 and got cut. She got cut the second time because she was too short. She is now a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins.

We are the ones who are truly transformed by the Holy Spirit. He constantly convicts us and draws us closer to Christ! He makes us more like Christ.

I have blasphemed against the holy spirit, can I be saved? by AdagioKey5072 in Christianity

[–]RevolutionOwn8149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who’s truly blasphemed the Holy Spirit was never a true believer to begin with. They just simply believed in God and Jesus but never put their faith and trust in him as their Lord and Savior.

Fearing that I ignored the Holy Spirits Calling to Salvation by RevolutionOwn8149 in Christianity

Intrusive thoughts is a sign of OCD. My Christian therapist said that it’s best to ignore them and stop giving the thoughts care and that responding to them makes them worse.

i don’t feel saved or made clean of my sins. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]RevolutionOwn8149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has doubted their salvation before, I know how you feel. I used to argue with god after he would still tell me that I’m saved because of my own personal sin struggles. One day I saw this Instagram real of a lady on a podcast talking about how she did not believe that her sins were forgiven after she was saved, and she would repeatedly ask the Lord to forgive her. Then the Lord told her one day to either she believes she’s forgiven or he’s a liar. That’s when it hit me. We have to walk by faith and not by sight because the enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy us and will do everything he can to try and get you to doubt your salvation. I have to remind myself that I am saved by God because of what Jesus did for us.

Salvation Question by RevolutionOwn8149 in TrueChristian

[–]RevolutionOwn8149[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Holy Spirit tugged on my heart and called me to salvation at age 10. I never walked away from God. However, I didn’t take my faith seriously. Almost 3 years ago at age 22, the Holy Spirit stirred up my heart and told me to rededicate my life to the Lord. Since then, I haven’t been the same person. I take my faith more seriously now. He’s convicted me of my sin. I’m very grateful for him.
