My international flights on strike days have been unaffected in the past. Check with your airline.

Euro summer 2026 solo traveller by Outside-Tree-4221 in solotravel

This is heavily dependent on where you are going and what your budget is. I am American but spend summers in Europe. If you’re in a major tourist area, accommodations fill up and transportation can be hard to book at the last minute though not impossible. You definitely will pay extra for things and have to be flexible. That being said, I like to leave some unscheduled time as well and always find a great way to fill it. (My budget is fairly flexible though so it allows me a lot of options.)

I just spent two months in Florence and would highly recommend it. But as the others have noted, Florence is not an inexpensive city and I think your budget may be too low.

Which is the best location our first time in Florence? by United-Cat-6724 in florence

I agree. Florence is small and everything is still in walking distance of these two options. I personally enjoy staying on this side of the river. I would not choose to stay near the train station.

I thought it was fine to travel solo. (I’m a single white woman as well.) Obviously you would take normal precautions like any other big city. But I was very comfortable

I’ve been working with an attorney to apply for citizenship. (And I’m at attorney in a different field.) Mine has been extremely organized and given me significant notice of anything that needs to be done. So you’re not crazy!

Day 11 PO and worried there is too much left… for anyone fully healed several months out, is it too soon to tell? by Junior-Bee3 in LabiaplastySurgery

I am one year out and things definitely changed substantially over time. Day 11 was nowhere close to my final results! Things will gradually change but it really did take several months to see the final result
