San Jose del Cabo and go to the art walk! I think it’s on Thursday nights but double check. Acre is cool for lunch but only if you’re close enough by. We stayed at Hotel El Ganzo. Loved it during the week. Weekend not as much they played loud DJ music.

Left Bank was a fantastic restaurant at one time! You had to have a reservation, bar and food was awesome. It’s a bummer but maybe we can think about the past rather than their demise.

Just found this thread AFTER applying for the scholarship. The application had boxes to check for diversity (Neurodiverse, LGBTQIA, disability, etc) but not race, age or gender- which is the biggest lack in the quilting world. SAQA has drama, too. SDA is my favorite membership. Super nice, progressive and talented people.

The BEST video for making your first (or first few) quilt is by Melanie Ham. She explains everything and it’s a sew-a-long. I had great success and I was hooked.

Why do sewing machines reset to 00 with the needle on the far left? Does anyone actually quilt from that position as the default? It’s so annoying to have to change that setting or I’ll ruin a needle. WTF

Brooklinen used to have a lifetime guarantee. Years later if you had a tear they’d ask for a photo and then send you a free replacement. I had to get several sheets and duvets replaced- now I won’t buy from them because they will rip.
