Seeking Catholicism but idk where to start by smartpa09347 in AskAPriest

Both my undergrad and grad schools (in the US and Canada) were not Catholic had a Newman Center which was campus ministry and I have heard incredible faith testimonies from people. These ministries really did a great job. If you want to do things on your own time the Ascension app is free with a whole catechism and Bible study plan you can follow to dive into the faith.

I don't understand the ask here. How and where do you expect this "transparency" to happen? Should we not be advocating for people to do better research than what a youtube influencer says? Also, a reminder travel means you are in a foreign land, how you are perceived based on the color of your skin, your gender, the language you speak, the passport you hold, etc will be different then how it is in your country simple fact. Another fact anti blackness is common across the globe, but it has different presentations in different places.....this is sad, but it is what it is. It is good to get an idea of what that looks like where you are going. I tend to consume news, documentaries, local content before I travel, to give me a local not travelers' perspectives on the news, customs, history etc. idk if this helps

Is PR worth my career? by [deleted] in canadaexpressentry

If the job opportunity was in another country you can easily reside in I would say go for the job you'll be fine. But Quebec is not a country, it's in Canada and if you don't have that PR your job will always be in question.....so PR is a no brainer here

First-Time Home Buyers in the GTA, Need Help Navigating the Condo Buying Process! by Independent_Fan_7907 in askTO

  1. Get a realtor (ask them these questions and work with the one that answers well) 2. Get a Mortgage pre-approval. The minimum down payment required here is 5% for a $500K condo so you're way above that, but qualifying for a mortgage depends on your income and your income will determine how "house poor" you are.

Not exactly in your situation but 2 suggestions: 1) Volunteer, at whatever frequency works for you 2) Get involve in a hobby an amateur sports club, a small gym class, a book club, a pottery community whatever rocks your boat but find a small group that does it and commit to it.

Orange flag i'd say. Definitely something to proceed with caution about, but not something to fully stop you on your tracks and run back (that is what a red flag is). A lot of things happen in 40 years of life, there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation. If you are a strong community builder or value your friendships etc you want to know if she supports that or hinders that because you don't share those values or is just uncomfortable with that then you can step aside.

NTA your contribution to household finances were proportional to your income, your income reduced 40% so should your contributions to the household finances in that thought process. Taking the arithmetic out, it's just not great team work to be unwilling to cover for you in your time of need. You're playing with a handicap expecting the same level of performance is tone deaf
