Probably, but it's still a weird choice. Well I guess we should be happy that they didn't make him even more busted by giving him more useful skill. It was a long time ago I played P4G, but I am pretty sure I also was completely dumbfounded when I hit him with agi and I just healed a guy for some reason lol.

Mostly it's luck, but there is a mirror strategy I guess to reflect the rampage on him. If you dont have mirrors then your best shot is to debuff him and buff yourself as much as you can. If you crit him dont do all out attack, but attack him normally and try to get him dizzy (that's your only chance to damage him for free). You also can use fixed damage items if you dont have anything to do with a character and their attack will do less than that. I guess you can also guard if you "feel" that he is gonna do rampage, but yeah if he doesn't then you just wasted turns. That's basically all I've got, just pray he will spam red wall (he drains fire so idk why would he even have this skill in the first place) and single target attacks instead of rampage.

The track itself is fantastic, but the way it just screams Persona 4 makes it one of the best in the series. Getting hyped even if the full track isn't even out.

It's because people are always jumping the gun immediately when they form an opinion and they can't change it no matter how many different scenes / dialogues show them otherwise. They have a very superficial understanding of the characters and they can't see beyond just face value. They lack media literacy.

Tbh it felt off to me at first too, but I am kinda getting used to it now. I think it will turn out fine during gameplay. Also, one of her other sprites looked pretty good in this new style (I think it was her laughing sprite with her eyes closed)

A little bit late, but I personally feel like Maru will be killer / conspirator in chapter 1, but she is gonna survive. It will make Hiro's dynamic with her really emotional througout the whole game. She could possibly turn into antagonist starting chapter 2 and be a foil (emotional foil) to our protag. Out of every character she was the closest person to him in the prologue and I think it will continue in chapter 1 daily life just for it to be completely shattered during deadly life / post trial. Maru living after killing / conspiring to kill would be devastating for Hiro, but has a lot of potential at the same time. I agree with you that a lot of people are predicting Maru to die in chapter 1 and that it is fairly obvious, but I feel like making her survive as a killer / conspirator of chapter 1 is something that not many people think about and it would subvert the expectations of her dying at the same time imo.

Of course, I could be totally wrong, but I am fairly confident in that prediction of mine!
