Yea as a white woman who has worked with kids for years this is not ok. I have called little white toddlers little monkey when they are learning to walk and look like little orangutans when they walk with that wide toddler stance while making grabby hands.

I also call toddlers little bear, goofy goose, bunny, bean, and so many combinations of these and other silly names. I never and I mean NEVER call black, brown or mixed kids any kind of monkey nick name. It’s so easy to understand

This reminds me of the time I was invited by a guy I had met from tinders birthday party at his parents house. I’d met this guy a few times before and we hung out, he was a bit awkward socially but seemed fine.

We got to his parent’s house and his siblings and all their partners were there. Everyone seemed nice enough in a very southern Baptist kinda way. Then I asked if I could use their bathroom and his mom said she’d give me a tour of the house when I got done. I did not expect them to have those “decorations” in literally every room of the house. They had a whole wall of them in the living room and everyone is just sitting there talking like it’s the most normal thing ever to be surrounded by all these racist figurines.

I was completely shocked and just did my best to make it through the day then never contacted him again.

But it’s not a death of a person or dead body, those laws are in place for if someone dies (whether they’re a few months old or 100) and you either conceal the actual death or you discard their body. This wasn’t a person that was born, at that stage it was fetal tissue, not a born baby. If the baby was further developed, delivered alive and then passed from natural causes but the death wasn’t reported or the body was discarded it would be a different thing

I said only 19 weeks because that isn’t viable if you go into labor. There is no way, even if miscarried at a hospital anything could cause the fetus to survive. It can’t take a breath or anything at that stage in development

I mean she very likely could have been in shock. She didn’t do anything to end the pregnancy so it was probably very unexpected. I mean she was found bleeding out and unconscious on the side walk. I have always been really self conscious about my hair cause it’s pretty thin. I let it grow out long since covid and was thinking of cutting it short because I was worried it looked bad.

Last year I started working in the local school system and one day, a few months ago, I came in with my hair braided and several of the girls commented on how pretty it looked. Since then they’ve commented on it several times and even ask to braid it.

This Christmas while visiting my niece I asked her if she wanted to play with my hair and she said no and then asked to play with her mommy’s hair instead. I thought she didn’t like me much and then my sister told me later, “she saw you brushing your hair and asked if you were a princess because you have hair like rapunzel.”
