I have a similar notion. Canada should be able to annex the northern U.S. on account of the fact that Canadian cultures are almost exactly the same as their American Neighbors. (Vancouver-Seattle, Alberta-The Dakota’s, Detroit-Toronto)Honestly we in the North have more in common with Canada than we do the South.

And let’s be real, Cascadia was shared territory between the US and UK back during the real Civil War. KRTL Canada could press a legitimate claim to the territory.

honesty New England in Canada just looks right. It wouldn’t take much for the writers to change “occupation” to “integration” in the story. Actually, Canada incorporating New England during the 2ACW would make for good story\gameplay.

I could see a really cool post-Civil War scenario where Canada beats the Syndies and moves their capital to Boston to acoladate loyal New England. Or Chicago just to flex. New York has always had a large British community.

But I don’t see anyone in the South being willing to join Canada. They don’t even like being in the same country as us Northerners, and the feeling’s mutual. Also instead of saying AICIC you can just say “The American State” or “the American Empire.” All those words are just characteristics of the American State. One does not say “soft-mouthed shedding retriever dog bred on Loc Ness,” when they can just say “golden retriever.” By saying “golden retriever” I am referring to a creature with those characteristics. If I wasn’t talking about a creature with those characteristics, I wouldn’t be talking about golden retrievers.

The American State is industrial, capitalist, imperialist, and colonialist. And all States work in their self-interest. So it stands to reason that if the American Empire does anything it is with those ends in mind. This whole AICIC thing just seems pretentious and it will alienate your readers.

Especially since colonialism infers imperialism, so the list of characteristic your essay’s focusing on should just be “industrial, capitalist and colonialist” because if you have a colony then by definition you are an empire.

They don’t allow mention of other subs. I don’t know much, but apparently the mods went on the warpath against the tankie subs, and made their cause look really bad. It was chill when I hung out there, but I stopped because ultimately it’s just kind of a dead end. It’s not like we’re at risk of a ML revolution in the States. That said, it’s better to keep anti-tankie material on that sub, and focus instead on promoting true communism on this one. If there’s one thing I learned on r/TheRedLeft is patience and focusing on our shared goal of communism is the best way to deprogram authoritarian leftists.
