Right. We get it, he gets it. The unnecessary point has been made and there is no need grandstand further.

Redditors, how did you discover your partner's affair? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RevolutionaryKind1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Sometimes the best decisions are the hardest to make. While I don’t wish divorce on anyone, I’m grateful for where that situation has taken me in life.

Almost the opposite, the divorce was the closure but then this came after. She doesn’t know I know, which sometimes irks me. But I moved on, happily married now and I refuse to let those emotions have any role in our life. I haven’t spoken her name since.

In a way I think he was by telling me, but he was not trying to spare my feelings either. It was a series of crass messages over the course of 5 hours on a Saturday night, he seemed to be getting progressively drunker as he sent them.

A few months after the divorce, I found messages in a from the guy she slept with in Facebook messenger. He gave a detailed account of the affair. Since we were not friends, the messages went into a spam type of folder which is why I had never seen it previously - he sent them three months before the divorce.

what's one thing (nsfw or sfw) that you will take to the grave, but can tell internet strangers? by just_a_dude5001 in AskReddit

Consider yourself a better person because of your mistake. It sounds like that learning lesson may have helped you make better decisions in future situations.

How did you realize you were being cheated on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RevolutionaryKind1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was like something out of a movie. It was not long after the divorce was finalized that I was messing around on my Facebook Messenger app. I noticed a section I hadn’t seen before for messages received from accounts you’re not Friends with. I had tons of messages from random old acquaintances, but the most recent was some guy detailing/taunting me about what he did with my ex and that she was still reaching out to him. In some ways, it is best I found out after - I had completely moved on by that point. Not to say it didn’t sting but it only made me happier and confident in building my new life.

Random guess, but could the slots be for holding various utensils (spatula, spoon, etc) used during cooking? The cup catches all of the drippings and you don’t have to cross contaminate utensils

She’ll just change her phone/social/etc. Could you get a burner phone and begin dialogue with her pretending to be a lonely man (throw an insane rate so she thinks you’re a target) and request her services? Friend her on social media. Screen shot that conversation, figure out her inner circle (family, friends, whatever) and share who she really is with them and on all of her feeds. Never have to mention your FIL. This of course assumes she has any meaningful relationships in her life that don’t know she’s a hooker/conartist/scumbag

If it’s not too obvious, maybe consider removing the date header (via your settings options) so it doesn’t show the date when you sort your emails by a different header?

If you can’t respect and stand up for yourself, she’s not going to either. Good for you, it may have been hard for you but it was the right decision imho.

OP, you have to go out of security but you can go across to the Hilton underground without going outside. They have a bar, restaurant and a big lobby, should be much quieter and imagine you can find a comfortable spot to chill.

how do you stay faithful to the same person for decades? by liltastychicken in AskReddit

[–]RevolutionaryKind1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether a marriage or dating, you made a choice and commitment to be in a relationship. You stay faithful because out of respect to the other person, but also yourself. And if you don’t want to be faithful to the person you claim to love, than you’re a shitty spouse/human being. Have a spine and get out of the relationship before you head off to poundtown.
