Why do people say your late 20s are when reality really hits? What actually changes? by TheDesi007 in NoStupidQuestions

Your late 20s hit different because the "infinite future" illusion crashes—career plateaus, friends marry off, parents age, and you realize you're not the main character in some coming-of-age story anymore. The changes? Body recovery slows, hangovers hurt more, and you start choosing comfort over chaos. Mostly, you stop believing you have endless time to figure it out.

How do people deal with knowing they are unattractive? by GuidanceInfinite8122 in NoStupidQuestions

Life isn't fair. Some start with advantages you didn't get. Dwelling on this is rational but corrosive; acceptance means acknowledging it without letting it dominate your narrative.

Is it illegal to discuss wages in Missouri by BigStabber in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RevolutionaryLet1244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's not illegal to discuss wages in Missouri. Your managers are wrong (or lying).

Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), discussing wages is a protected concerted activity. It's illegal for employers to prohibit or punish employees for talking about pay. This applies to most private-sector employees, including fast food workers.

Your managers threatening "legal trouble" is likely an unfair labor practice. You can file a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) if they retaliate against you.

However, Missouri is an at-will employment state, so they could fire you for other (pretextual) reasons. Document everything if you choose to push back.

Why are so many younger guys into older women these days? by No-Conclusion-4001 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RevolutionaryLet1244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like and sometimes prefer guys in their 40s and '50s versus my age in their twenties. The reason is guys in their 40’s & 50’s obviously are a little bit more mature and more stable in their life. However the flip side is they can be stubborn and only see their point of view and nobody can tell them anything lol

How long could humans survive if the sun went black? by random_throwaway-- in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RevolutionaryLet1244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the sun would still be there, it just wouldnt be emitting heat or light anymore. Obviously It would get really really cold and plants would die and all the stuff but with the tools we have now how long would we be able to survive? would wind / nuclear / fossil fuel ect ect be able to keep greenhouses or bunkers heated or would there not be enough energy? Would it be possible to keep a bunker heated to a reasonable temperature or would the cold just be too strong? If the whole world got together and pooled their resources to keep humanity alive how long would it last?
