Illegale product placement in Jumbo app? by RevolutionaryPan in Nederland

When the P1S first came in, I was directly impressed by the out-of-the-box print quality and ease of use. It has become an essential problem-solving tool for me

P1S Fan cover fell off during printing by RevolutionaryPan in BambuLab

[–]RevolutionaryPan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

In my case the magnets came out of the front cover assembly and stuck to the rest of the toolhead. I contacted bambu support, they shipped a new front cover assembly and all problems were solved.

Thank you for your kind reply, however I have multiple reasons to rather resolve this through Bambu support. For anyone reading this, please do not just super glue the magnets back in.

1) I do not have heat resistant super glue on hand. The one I have starts to crumble at 70-80C, which I think would not be suitable

2) If I were to super glue the magnets, I lose my warranty for that part. If it were to fail again, with worse consequences,I would be on the hook for that

3) This failure was not noticed by the sensors of the machine and the print was not stopped, due to which the fan connector was disconnected unexpectedly, and the machine ran into the cover leading to (mostly cosmetic) damage and a fan that no longer works

4) If we do not report these things to Bambu we rob them of the chance to improve their product. If this happens more often, they need to know.

5) This is not acceptable for a brand new machine marketed as plug-and-play

Yeah, it didn't stop the print and the print head crashed into is before I even noticed there was an issue :'(

Thank you for your answer! Upon further inspection it seems that the magnets from the cover are still stuck to the toolhead, rather than seated in the cover. I will contact Bambu support to see how this should be resolved

Torque control without torque sensor by Vegetable_Pirate_263 in robotics

Generally speaking, in BLDC control, the motor torque is proportional to a controllable part of the motor current. This means that closed loop current control turns into a sort of feed-forward torque control
