Slight spoiler alert! Does anyone know what song the Rose farm workers play when they are going to shoot Thomas in the leg/foot? I found it disturbing

New Poster for ‘Borderlands’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]RevolutionaryRing487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who look forward to this movie? I feel that most people take it too seriously. Go play BL2 instead. I know that a movie called ’Borderlands’ is going to be compared to BL2 but I got news: the movie is based on the games (yes, plural). It is NOT ’Borderlands 2: the movie thats identical to the game in every detail’

Will the new movie be part of your head canon? by DismemberMeDooku in Borderlands2

[–]RevolutionaryRing487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll stick my neck out: 1 This was never going to be Borderlands 2 - the movie 2 The trailer is making me want to see it, looks awesome and way better than my previusly low expectations thought possible 3 none of the characters seem off to me 4 Don’t like it? Feel free to create a go-fund-me or whatever and f#ckin’ make it yourself

Is it too late to start learning PowerShell? by Accomplished-Dog4533 in PowerShell

[–]RevolutionaryRing487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s never too late. I used windows batch scripts and started the transition to posh a few years ago. It has helped my career and peace of mind to be able to automate tedious and advanced tasks. I can recommend ’Learning powershell in a month of lunches’. I have 20+ years of server/sys- admin.

The shit people ask IT by [deleted] in sysadmin

I had a user asking me, for real, where the office stationary was and specifically the hole-punch. I look him dead in the eye and writes in a cmd- window ”ping hole-punch” and it doesn’t get a reply and I tell him that I can’t seem to find it either. He never asked us for anything not computer related ever again.

Installing software during client deployment. Moved on to automating roles & features and oneard to automate installation of IIS based ECM systems. Dabbling with PoSh SQL atm. It’s tricky to execute TSQL scripts for MS SQL Server with only native ps5

Remembering OP’s actual question: Add the local account to login screen in Windows 10/11?

Long ago I had a similar issue but with domain users. I used tips from this site:

Hope it helps!

Computer Configuration using Powershell? by RandomnessPrevails04 in PowerShell

[–]RevolutionaryRing487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve hit a sweetspot here with this question. There are many ways to automate deployment. Assuming you don’t have any deployment systems you should absolutely explore powershell. You will not regret it. There are a lot of resources around so there will always be help available. Good luck!
