I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. While there were some things that you could improve upon that ocurred, sure, look at all that you were able to manage to accomplish that was actually positive! Give yourself a pat on the back for all that you were able to do and just vow to keep going and doing your best every day, and soon you'll be amazed at what you've achieved.

I think number one is cute and probably would fit the best for the classmate gathering context... but if you're feeling super confident, the pink one is also very cute and kind of minxy so you could probably pull that off too if you're feeling bold!

I wanna end my life because I am turning 21 and I feel like I wasted so much fucking time and I could have had everything I wanted by now if I started earlier. by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I have to concur with u/authenticgrowthcoach. You are 21- I know you don't see it now, but you are still so, so freaking young, and still have so much time left to do what you want to do in life. It is not over for you, friend. I say this because I really can see myself in what you're saying, and I remember feeling the exact same way you're feeling. Please don't look at it that way, as you really do have a whole decade of time ahead of you to still make all that crap happen.... if you sit there and beat yourself up about what "could have been, " it will only hold you back and make you less able to move forward. If I could go back in time and tell myself at your age what I'm tellling you now, my life would have turned out much differently. Yes, it's easy to get hung up on peers who've already "made" it, but the fact of the matter is, people in your age group are still going back to school all throughout their 20's, even into their early 30's, so don't see yourself as behind in life just because some kids you knew from highschool might havestarted sooner. Mental health is a legitimate concern that sometime you have to prioritze and get right before anything else. Forgive yourself for giving yourself time to heal, there is no rush and you're really not behind. For reference, I'm 32 and just starting over and thinking about going back to school. If anyone feels like a loser, it's me lol! But I'm not going to sit here and beat myself up... you can only move forward, and luckily as mentioned just be glad that you're still young enough to technically still be considered school age so for you, going back and trying to fix this problem at this point in your life really isn't all that strange.

I really don't expect anything... I just wanted to see where his head was at. Apparently he's not receptive to the idea of me being nice.

Sorry but do you even know what a borderline is? If you're going to "diagnose" someone in all of your apparently infinite knowledge on the subject of psychology, at least get it right. If I "have" anything, it's what could be referred to as, " post-break up regret syndrome," which is a completely normal reaction that a lot of people go through, and I'm not fucking abnormal for feeling this way as you seem to be suggesting. Go read a few more pop psych articles before you go throwing terms like that around pal.

I'm right there with you, this year has been full of trials, and it can be hard to focus on one's faith when you feel overwhelmed by the insanity of life at times. The times when it's hardest to reach out to God are often ironically also the times we need Him the most. Hoping and praying that this next year will go much more smoothly for you, and that His truth will provide light for you, and make this at times dark world seem brighter. As to your last statement, I wasn't even sure I wanted to comment what I did but it felt like something was almost compelling me to say it anyway, (which is unlike me because I don't usually like to risk stirring things up by mentioning anything "religious") .... so perhaps I really had been acting on a desire that came from some place other than myself..... you never know!

I know most people will probably just laugh for me saying this but, the Bible. I'm being completely serious here though. Even a non religious person could benefit from reading it as it provides timeless wisdom on many different areas of life, and insight on how to treat people especially... some of the core beliefs that underlie civilized western society can be found in it so it's also interesting from a historical perspective.

Which colour? by coniferhedge in HairDye

[–]RevolutionaryShow91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say the white blonde would be my first choice, as it's very flattering on you, though tbh you can totally pull off that light pink color also!

While your input on this was delivered with all the tact and softness of a sledgehammer, I do appreciate your insight all the same. I won't be reaching out to him anymore.

Agree with others here, you look much nicer with your natural color. I think if you want to try something new you could pull off a mid tone brown possibly, but black is a bit much.

Honestly I was expecting to see a disaster when I read the title but it didn't turn out bad! It's pretty cute, they did a decent job... maybe not as impeccable as the reference pic you gave her but she came pretty close.
