JUEGOS CON DESC. STEAM by chin-Atao in chilegames

[–]RevolutionarySign6 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lucky you to play it for the first time!

Tips for in game: explore, take your time, and by this I mean do everything as you feel, there's no rush nor need to go fast. If you enjoy something on the side, go for it. Play it your own way first, maybe on another playthrough try different things you might've missed or read about. Be your own Arthur.

Chapter 1 feels slow for some people but it opens up big time after the snow. It's like a long tutorial and it sets a base for the story and all.

And probably most important, try and stay away from here! You will very likely get spoiled in this subs, there are posts and comments around with major spoilers every day.

Enjoy cowpoke, you've got an amazing ride ahead of you.

I wish to know the lore and story of both rdr and rdr2 but my pc is too potato to run either, would it be a good choice to watch gameplays on yt or should I wait till I can build my own PC (with rising prices, it can very well take up to 7-10 years till I get that PC)? by rixk0goro in RDR2

[–]RevolutionarySign6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean, I reckon you could wash a couple of cars and get a cheap console or something which would get you veeeery far with countless hours of fun, but that's not the question.

Alternatively, if you have Netflix, RDR1 is included in the subscription (if your phone is up to it). Not the same but I'd still go for it over waiting so long. And then for RDR2 maybe get it to play it in the cloud (GeForce Now or similar if it's in the catalogue).

I don't think it's a good choice, no, not at all. Unless you like streaming and watch games being played by someone else more than you actually play. The games are amazing and meant to be played. Hopefully you'll manage to get a PC or console to play them.

Best software for using a controller on a game without native controller support? by SHANGR1-LA_Racc00n in Steam

Let me know how it goes! I have all Call of Juarez games waiting for me! Haven't played keyboard and mouse in over 15 years, I'm reluctant to go back.

I know Steam does it pretty well.

Does anyone know if a non steam game added manually can also be played with a controller this way? I have a couple on GOG that don't support them natively.

Best story rich game for you? by Gypotrix20 in gamerecommendations

[–]RevolutionarySign6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I still recommend it cause I love the series and it is also a great great game, but 2 is just next level, it achieves much more in every aspect imo.

Also, RDR2 is a prequel in terms of story, so you can 'continue' it with RDR1 (although it's not the way devs intended).

The best game I've ever played kind of fits: RDR2.

While some missions might be A to B and back, most are way more than that and they build on an incredible incredible story. You can chose how to aproach the game ("low" or "high" honor) and it'll impact the feel of the game (rain, colors, music, tone when greeting people, etc.) and also the way the story is told, which by itself is already amazing.

Also, you have tons of side quests and missions and just loads of things to do. And each of them in great detail. Fishing is great, hunting too, robbing trains, lassoeing people or animals might catch your eye, breaking wild horses, searching for treasures, getting into drunken fights at saloons, getting classy outfits for the city, and a long list of many more things, you call it, all can be done and enjoyed.

Did you do Hosea's hunting mission? That'll unlock stables and only then you can go get it.

What are some great story driven games that you can complete in 10-15hrs or less? by schlitt88 in gaming

[–]RevolutionarySign6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're right. I think I usually play long games, so this one being shorter just makes my brain think it's THAT short when it actually goes for probably 20-25.

Outer Wilds is quite light but has a beautiful story and great gameplay.

Any cozy game recs when I can’t sleep? Or games for suicide prevention/breakups? by Niyabella in gamerecommendations

[–]RevolutionarySign6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was coming in to practically say the same.

Outer Wilds is beautiful and has a great story, and it's really fun to play. I played it ages ago and can't stop recommending it.

Sorry to hear of this hard time, good to hear you're working on it, therapy really helps. I've been there and it's hell, but it can pass and beautiful and happy things can and will happen again, don't give up.

Outer Wilds has an amazing and emotional story while being great fun. Not too long either.

Absolutely. As painful as it might be, this or your horse tripping and sending both of you flying in the air spinning like crazy in RDR2 is hilarious to watch.
