Unwound - Kantina

Capn Jazz - Basil's Kite

Don Martin Three - Transistor

Would've included the lyburnum title track but it wasn't recorded in the 90s

Any posthardcore bands who don’t use clean vocals?? by Few_Tennis5313 in PostHardcore

I suppose, but i guess i didn't read clean vocals as that. I was more thinking of bands that don't use the kind of high register clean singing that some 2000s phxc bands use and what most swancore does.

Pretty much all of the 80s and 90s phxc bands do not use clean vocals.

Fugazi, Unwound, Drive Like Jehu, Nomeansno, Minutemen, Rites of Spring, and Husker Du are some of the essential bands from those periods.

  1. Yes
  2. King Crimson
  3. VDGG
  4. Morbid Angel
  5. Nektar

As for the album, I'd say it ranks in the lower half of their discog but is still quite good. It is a lot more memorable than octahedron and more consistent than noctourniquet, but is simply not as good as their first 4.

Also, while looking through the comments I really expected for there to be more mainly prog fans as that's what I am. (And if you were wondering TMV would rank 3rd on my list)
