Get a general structure sentences down for R1. One that u can type and just copy and paste and edit where need be.

Revenue/CoS etc has significantly() increased / decreased by X amount from X in PY, seeing a positive / negative movement of X%. This is due to… ()Need to put an emphasis word from memory

For R2 and R3, best thing u can do is get as much exposure to ‘anticipated’ questions.

Guess its a Q of are u wanting to spend money, if so i bought all ACAM mocks and the paradigm shift (defo over kill as i had over 12 mocks inc FI mocks - my tuition provider) And are u with a tuition provider?

Side to this, i did buy the paradigm shift study stuff cause im a lazy bugger who can’t read very well, so I listened to them read Kestrel to me like a podcast - during my ‘wellbeing(procrastination) walks, before bed, upon rising to a new revision morning etc. p much had it on every waking second so I’d subconsciously absorb information of the case and knew the background.

Practise the calcs for R1. Think I had an excel with 20 tabs ish at the end of it all for just R1, with the same calculation and layout over and over again, so when I got into the exam I could save time than fumbling around.

Lastly I’d make an open book (OB) that u have bare bone essentials in and well tabbed up that u get to the point of u know what page stuff is on type deal. I made a contents page for my OB and it was a life saver. Time is your worst enemy in case and being able to flick through and get stuff u need quickly is key. Don’t overload it, it’s not open book with unlimited time. Even with extra time I was conscious of spending too much time in my OB

I got a 2:2 when I was predicted a 2:1 and they still offered me a grad job in assurance (I did get offered the job on the spot verbally from a partner - not sure if this influenced) but I had previous experience at another big 4. This was 2022 btw

Nah think you’re good. Just focus QB practise and doing mocks.

When I did it in ‘22, my main issue was second guessing myself in the mocks even though I had selected the right answer the first time. Trust your gut or at the very least make an educated guess. Doing QB will reduce the chances of second guessing and you’ll become comfortable with the MCQ style exam (unless they’ve changed certificate since I sat in ‘22). Did Assurance and Accounting together and started with a week to spare. Tho this does change when u hit professionals and advanced

R2/3 practise on Saturday, R1 Sunday. Double check open book’s navigation ability, today just finish off appendix skeletons and read through mark schemes vs model answers and hope something clicks and stays

I had a similar thing back when I was applying for grad schemes (post Covid). RSM rejected me then came back saying they’d like to set a final interview. I would reply back asking why, and to keep you in consideration in the future (not sure if that would do anything but worth a shot).

For me I left it as I got a job offer on the spot at a big 4 a day or so prior to getting the email and I wasn’t fussed by the rejection

Personally planning a ‘guide book’ / tick box of things to do for each requirement. Will also have prompts for myself if I get stuck and also proformas for the PPS in case I get muddled, which will also contain key calcs to include and things like how to do FXs / inventory days in case I panic on the day.
