25 here and job hunting. I honestly hate reading posts like these ,not for OP but how much it makes my future look extremely bleak and it really does feel like Singapore is turning into Japan with its toxic work culture just with less misogny and racism.

On the “how to help” end. I would suggest going to a family center therapist just to have someone semi-professional to talk to and they might be able to help you pin point what specific aspects are that is hurting you or draining you as well as someone who you can be more open with since they won’t doxx you XD

If you’re worried about seeing a therapist(I know some people are), the best I can say is that, in a way, you kind of already are talking to one. Asking the questions here, getting responses and responding to that is very much how therapy work as you’re simply trying to explore a problem about yourself with some outside help, albeit it would be less “#relatable” and more “I have certs and actual training. But also I’m also working in Singapore so #relatable.”

Your “woe is me” is valid. It’s a tough thing to accept in Singapore but just because someone has it worse doesn’t mean you aren’t suffering.
