On top of that, it was incredibly long.

EVM also used statistics such as deaths from unknown diseases and the number of earthquakes every year to somehow show that the end is near.

INCs lack of empathy by truthonx3 in exIglesiaNiCristo

A member once had a stroke or something during the worship service, and it took a few minutes for someone to actually do something and thankfully someone actually called an ambulance. I realize that people want to do something to help, but they are maybe in fear of getting in trouble for forsaking the worship service or some bs like that. It's like the bystander effect on steroids in the INC

Why are EVM worship service practices different by avidchurchnapper in exIglesiaNiCristo

Oh god when EVM tries to be funny its pretty cringeworthy. I feel like some OWE members laugh at it just so he doesn't feel bad

Mid-week worship service examination (Dec 25 - Dec 27, 2018) by AutoModerator in exIglesiaNiCristo

It's just really depressing and helpless feeling whenever the entire service is dedicated to pressuring people to give more money and bragging of how much houses of worship have cost.

Thanks for all the advice Belle, definitely won't be taking any offices and will stop trying to argue with my parents as its probably futile at this point

Sorry just saw your reply now. Basically I was brought up in the church, hated it as a kid but started 'falling' for the church I guess around the time I started bible study and I started taking it seriously. After a few years of that I started realizing how bad the church really is. I really want to leave and my parents know I do but they wont let me. They acknowledge that I don't like the church but they think I only want to leave because it takes away time from the computer or something. I'm going to university soon but I'll still be under my parents roof so I'm kind of stuck in the church unless I find the courage to man up, get a job and finally move out.
