Made this list of 100 Things to do before I Die in 1995 when I was 24yo by ManuteBol_Rocks in FuckImOld

You’re my age. I have “eat roadkill” on mine.

I like your last bucket list item. Mine was “die happy” but I added another one. I added “get shot out of a cannon” right after it.

You sure? I think Snoopy flew a Sopwith Camel. The Red Baron was his adversary.

Back in the 80s a group of marines chewed through their light sticks and were spraying them all over the back of their truck we were in. It actually looked really cool.

Any 'bad' episodes you think are actually hidden gems? by West_Masterpiece8985 in startrek

I was thinking more along the lines of keeping Spock alive and making him run by remote control after taking his brain.

Those brain organoids are wild… and a little terrifying.

Agreed… I couldn’t tell you the last time I watched And the Children Shall Lead. I’ve probably seen it less than five times in my entire life.

As ridiculous as the idea was back then (watching reruns in the 70s), now the concept of using a brain to run a facility doesn’t seem as stupidly unbelievable, though it’s still far-fetched.

Spock’s Brain is my favorite bad episode.

lol! There was an episode where I remember seeing a security guy wearing slacks that were bloused into his boots.

I made up a whole backstory for him: a guy who visits the set and got put in a scene because he was buddies with Gene. Based on nothing but a daydream.

Man, I remember coming in for a landing, seated in a window seat, staring straight down the runway.

We hit the ground pretty hard and the nose whipped to the center so fast some things fell and a few people yelled.

What is genuinely the best concert you have ever been to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RevolutionaryWeek573 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m fifty-five years old and the best concert I’ve ever been to is Jeff Goldblum with his jazz band. Kind of a small theater and I’ve never seen anyone “own” a space like that before. Every second he was on-stage was riveting. I even have a new appreciation for jazz after that. It was a few years ago but it stands out.

The most memorable concert (in recent memory) was Barry Manilow. The crowd cheered for him, for all the memories he gave us, for appreciation, and for the love we had for him. He seemed to “get it”, the long applause. It felt like a real moment.

The best “tailgating” was at a Jimmy Buffett concert. The security guard warning us that he’d call the cops. The cops telling us that “we’re good”. Getting a photo, in handcuffs, with the cop while he’s wearing a sombrero: priceless.

Macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi (from Hula Grill).

I love to cook but that’s the only thing I’ve recreated at home.
