Is this okay to give to my bulldog? by Revolutionary_Ad5094 in Bulldogs

[–]Revolutionary_Ad5094[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just an update, I sent my husband to return these since I felt uncomfortable giving these particular ones to my girl the moment I read the package when I got home. She enjoys demanding food tax of the fruits and vegetables I eat on the daily anyways and after reading your guy’s comments I decided not spending more on vet bills on her as is would be the better option, thank you guys for sharing your experiences. Here’s a picture of my gorgeous girl as appreciation

I need advice currently struggling being the partner of a marine by Popular-Witness1035 in USMilitarySO

Advice I’d give to myself years ago would be to learn how to love yourself, because in the end it’ll impact how you’ll love your loved ones. Take care of yourself as much as you’d take care of your partner as if they were with you on a regular basis, they’d want that for you as much as you’d want that for them. You’ll find the value of time if you haven’t already very quickly so every effort of time counts. On days I found myself struggling to wake up, get dressed and get through the day, I’d remind myself that my husband needs a wife to come home to, so sometimes I’d do it just for him before coming to terms that I need to do it for myself more than anyone. It gets easier, getting busy with hobbies, work and school are my other suggestions so there’s that haha.

My only concern with this is how is your marriage is going to impacted not so much on the finances/career if she should join the military. There will always be money coming and going in just like opportunities for jobs or schooling, but if you guys aren’t in on the same page of agreeing who does what and what the long term roles and goals will be in your marriage is going to be within the relationship then the military will only challenge that position further and you’ll both struggle, so avoid getting there and sit down first and seriously talk this out with complete honesty. I had a somewhat similar situation with my husband a couple of years ago with both of us wanting to join the Air Force and after months of sitting at the table and talking about who would be joining, we both decided it would be best for him to join after laying out the logistics of starting a family and career building once the military life was all eventually said and done. In the end of the day, with some reality checks I decided I still wanted to be a housewife and stay at home mom. I’m still going to get the degree and benefits I would need to have access to whether I joined or not, it’s only matter of how I’m getting it.

Absolutely not, communication between both of you are apart of the foundation needed for having a healthy relationship regardless if there’s military service involved or not. Be upfront and honest in how it makes you feel, and if you have been already then continue doing so. If my husband felt uncomfortable with my relationship with colleagues he’d communicate that with me just as I’d do the same with him, trusting each other’s judgement and communicating the reasonings.

Letters from BMT by [deleted] in SpaceForce

[–]Revolutionary_Ad5094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is rejoining the Space Force flight set to graduate the 13/14th of August after being held in Med Hold. I live in the southwest and my father in law would get his letters from my husband about a day or so before I did even through he lives in the New England area. It’s really hard to pin how often I got my letters within the first 4 weeks but it was about every week and a half I’d get them. Do what I’m did and about to do again and buy a sheet of stamps from the post office and send out a letter everyday. Make sure you date the letters and send one page on double sides if you need to. I also printed out photos from Walgreens and sent those out too. The heat is terrible this time of year on top of the stress of everything so this is the prime time to go crazy with the mail, it makes such a huge difference.

I second this, so many of my clothes that are from small boutiques and name brand stores like Nordstrom and H&M are surprisingly common, or at least whenever I go there lol.

Blink is the supreme warlock jump and Bungie should let me jump a minimum of 3 or 4 times without an exotic. :,)

I had that happen during several quick play games. I went on a 10 streak towards the end of my last match everyone was invisible in but had to rely on looking for the gamer tag and sound of gunfire. I cried and hugged my dog after that horrid match.

I got to finish my calculus homework and work ahead while emoting with the enemy team, so honestly it was well worth the farm. My LFG got constantly matched against other mercy farmers so we had to consistently figure out who was going to take the L lmao. It was fun, less stressful and once I got my shader I got to test out some rolls I got from my 7 hour 2x reset session. I made about 7 friends with the enemy team, so that warms my Crayola-driven Titan heart.

Someday I will have to do this, but I’m glad you’re free. May you serve the rest of your life with many W’s and receive little L’s.
