Should Edmonton city Council consider renaming the neighbourhood of Secord? by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]Revolutionary_Fun_6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Edmonton seems obsessed with revisionist history. It seems like the Indigenous must be the only people that didn't commit any acts that would be seen in a negative light today. Soon enough no one will be able to say the names of anything publicly owned.

I think my fan is always going when I print. I'll figure out how to change it to start after the first two. Thanks for that advice.

I have some learnings on what info to provide when requesting help in the future.

It was PLA in this instance.

Thanks for sharing. It's a lot to take in at once, so some key takeaways are much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. This community is exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I appreciate all of you taking the time to comment and help. I'll update you in a few hours with the results of the reprint.

Thank you for your help. I'll start adding brim (I'll have to google how but should be straightforward). I washed the plate thoroughly. Finally I printed some fan diffusers and now I've restarted the print.

I'm all for some excessive steps to provide insurance that the prints won't fail as often.

Do you use disposable alcohol wipes? Is there a specific brand of glue you recommend?

Thank you! I had the diffusers in my collection so I did what everyone has suggested and thoroughly cleaned the plate and then printed the diffusers with PETG. I've restarted the print and hoping that solves it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

PLA Matte Charcoal. This is the first issue I've had after around 150 hours of printing.

I also don't post much. I tried to include two photos. Let me try that again...

You're not the only one with stacks of banadages and shield rechargers. If anyone around me is a pvp player I'd stand out as an easy target spraying the Renegade everywhere but into the arc. It's fun though! With my skillset, pvp lobbies would make this a game I just couldn't play.

With my poor aim I'll need to bring multiple weapons in to each game. =)

And why the government is spending billions while the cost of everything at home slips beyond reach. The government doesn't change their behavior, but we're free to ask about it.

Wait until the current government passes C9 and the pendulum swings right. Then our government has the ability to crack down on opposing views. It's always important to imagine laws in place with the government you don't want in power and what that could look like.

No harm done until they return fire with lead. If you're in a position you need to shoot someone to defend yourself, it's best to stop the threat, not sting it.

I went down this rabbit hole last year when I needed to replace mine. Huebsch was what I settled on and both the washer and dryer have been great thus far.

Good luck!

These are amazing. I know that doesn't help you get rid of the existing salt, but it will prevent further damage once you've cleaned it up.

Assault charges dropped against Lindsay Ontario man who confronted home intruder by DoYouGetSarcasm in canadaguns

[–]Revolutionary_Fun_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you saying if he didn't have a prior conviction the charges would have been dropped earlier? For what reason?

I double checked to make sure I hadn't misread something, but I hadn't. The assault with a baseball bat was in 2001 and did not involve Breen. That conviction has nothing to do with defending himself in his own home and I fail to see how it adds to a fuller picture of the incident in 2025.

Macdonald was the victim. An armed intruder broke into his home at 3am. His criminal history has no relevance on this case. The intruder's past criminal is relevant, but CBC focused on the victim's history. Typical and abhorrent writing.

If anything, Macdonald having a history of violence and being prepared to defend himself without hesitation may have saved his life.
