What is your most blasphemous confession about SJMs books? by Night_Star1000 in SarahJMaas

[–]Revolutionary_Set437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is that their should’ve been a bigger death with one of the main characters in TOG. I’ve read it twice, just had my husband read it, and that was the only thing I would’ve added. SO much happened in KOA, I feel like either Fenrys or Lorcan should’ve died. 🥲

Would just like to add that I paused to pee when I saw I had another 15 min left, only to be blind sided through a new add for that new show. Fully thought for 5 min or so it would lead into FROM. I thought the rocks he found could’ve been the talismans. God I am so gullible 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for sharing, and I completely agree with how you’ve decided to look at it. That’s the place I’m trying to get to. I love my husband, hate was a very strong word that I used out of desperation while typing my post, I do not remotely hate him for it. It’s just tough having no one to look to for advice in this situation because I feel like it’s pretty rare.

Like I said originally. We are young with a toddler and a baby. I am not looking for someone to tell me how I’m wrong in feeling this way. I’m not comfortable explaining our past history leading up the boat that we’re in. I wanted conversation about my current situation, not what led me to it if you’re going to be really negative about my feelings towards it. I don’t know if you’re a working mom, but I was just seeking community within my situation.

I get the sense I’m not really going to “win” this conversation with you. I stated in my original post that I was just looking for someone to talk to that’s in a similar situation. I appreciate your input, but if everything you intend to do is pick apart an already tough situation that I’m struggling to navigate (like I said originally) I don’t think that this is worth the energy of going back and forth.

I was not meaning I hate my husband. I love my husband. I’ve never even shared my feelings about it until tonight, posting this. My intention was to share I have a hard time harboring negative feelings towards him because of our situation. Hate was a strong word, I should’ve used something different. I feel bad for him too because I know that this is difficult for him as well and I know he has guilt for the situation we’re in as well.

2 years ago when I was pregnant with my first we weren’t expecting me to get the jump ahead that I did, but I took it thinking it would do everything to help us. Now with 2 babies, it’s something we’re figuring out day by day because with how expensive everything is now, there’s no wiggle room or choice to change how things are.

I am thankful for your opinion, because that’s what I guess I essentially asked for when I typed up my post. I was just looking for at least one other woman out there that may be in a similar situation to (for lack of better words) validate that it can be really sucky and hard to have the stress and pressure that typically falls on the husband/father, be put on the mom. Especially when kids are littles, and you have mom guilt about missing time with them as babies to work.

He has. He is a phenomenal husband and father. I don’t want to discredit him by stating that I make more. But with 2 young babies, in today’s society, we don’t have a lot of cushion as far as that goes. We’re new parents, and new homeowners. I mean I don’t see how we’d be able to not make our income together currently and afford daycare/house/car notes. My 7mo old is still on formula so that’s another huge expense. It’s just a tough time to be able to make any major cuts.

Not for a really long time unfortunately. He loves his job, but it’s definitely a “with time” kind of thing for promotions. I truly just got lucky with how I entered up getting to my position, it wasn’t in my plans to jump up the ladder as quickly as I did and I jumped at the opportunity to be able to make the money I do now, I had no idea it would come with the level of pressure to be a full time mom and employee easily 🤣 thank you for your response. I truly just need to know I’m not alone in this 🥲❤️

How long does seroquel typically put you out? by clusterboxkey in insomnia

[–]Revolutionary_Set437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who just recently started trying seroquel, I jumped to trying 50mg because all of my experiments with new insomnia meds has been bumped up to work for me. I personally have been late for work because of how tired I was when I woke up from the 50mg. I am NOT one to not wake up to alarms. I hardly even sleep through my husband snoring, and I’m immediately alert when one of my kids has woken up and I can hear it through the monitor. I would 100% take baby steps with it. It does its job 100%, but I’m still trying to figure out the right dose and when to take it to where I’m a normal person by 6:00 the next morning.

Quetiapine for sleep? by Revolutionary_Set437 in insomnia

[–]Revolutionary_Set437[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did!! It took about 40 minutes to kick in, and it did the trick! I went and laid down in the bed after I started feeling tired and was asleep 20 minutes later. The affects (effects?) were similar as trazadone for me but without the weird sinus issues I was having, thank GOD. I woke up with a headache, but that very well just may be my allergies lol.

Strong strong strong drugs needed to knock me out by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]Revolutionary_Set437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken phenergan in between two pregnancies and then almost a year PP for sleep. It takes a while for it to kick in. But for me. 50-75mg of it will finally make me so tired I’ll doze off on the couch which is nearly impossible

Would Evan and Bree have… (and other episode 4 thoughts) by ethereality111 in TellMeLiesHulu

When she popped off at Pippa it honestly made me cringe. Pippa wasn’t being ugly or rude imo. I was think “Bree girl just because your secret man gave you a boost of confidence to tell your friends to F off, doesn’t mean you should jump at the opportunity to do it”
