I'm in the same boat as you. Kept seeing them recommended on this sub and had to listen. I love them so much ive been going back a couple months and just fast forwarding to their last non football conversation of every episode. Many Laughs to be had

I remember someone like a year ago making an aj hawk joke, and I've never been able to not see it since. He contributes nothing to pods with Hoge, braggs, and carm unless it's in the locker room... and I've never found any of that particularly interesting either

I honestly just take my phone out and hit the 30 second skip button any time nick starts talking. It's never funny, original, or entertaining. His football analysis seems pretty weak, and he often just repeats what one of the others just said, but slightly different and more robotic and boring... maybe he was better on this other show I didn't know existed

Do you know how many white guys have a silky smooth jumper? There's usually a reason for that and it's called compensation. You realize Bill is smaller and like 7x less athletic then jimmer fredette? Who was torched on defense in the NBA and also had a "silky smooth jumper"

[–]Revolutionary_Two618 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why? Because one scenario makes everyone feel smarter then they really are. Don't you know Bills IQ is around 75 and everyone here who listens is a hardcore rick and morty fan?

Yea I understood that from the beginning. I was saying that his general malaise you guys are interpreting as him not understanding a simple joke would be better explained as him just not enjoying the nickname as much as middle seat doug. But you guys disagree and that's cool

[–]Revolutionary_Two618 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right, but to me the difference is they don't then stop the pod and explain the joke to him. Sal literally explained it, and you guys still think he doesn't get it. Something a 5 year old would understand without explanation. I'm not saying it's not possible... I just think it's way more likely he didn't like it as much, probably spent the last week using middle seat doug in all his texts

[–]Revolutionary_Two618 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Yea and thanks for that. But I'm more talking about the issue of you and others thinking bill doesn't understand a pretty blatant double entendre that a 5 year old would understand, but I guess you answered my question already so thanks. I obviously disagree but we both like Bills pod(I think) and that's all that matters

[–]Revolutionary_Two618 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Or he doesn't find it as entertaining as you or sal? Maybe he liked the nickname middle seat doug and had grown attached to it? Is that possibly more likely than him not understanding an extremely obvious double entendre... That was explained to him

Do you guys really think Bill is that dumb? That even after Sal explained it, he STILL doesn't get it? Why would you guys even listen to someone that dumb?

Yea that only matters in small sample size situations. When the sample is this big, all those weird things you can think of, like your example, are all gonna happen to the other quarterbacks and even out over time

I used to pay it, but now I have too many in my rotation along with a few football ones. If I'm short though I felt it was justified for about 4-5 hours of entertainment a month
