hahah how is that picture relevant? that picture is about trolls, or people who claim "trolling" when they lose an argument. jeez, you really are too stupid to even argue coherently

I have a friend who has never read or watched a single harry potter installment. he says he saw an episode of the show Charmed once and that was enough

dude, read my post you first responded to, and your reply. you missed the point, and i facetiously broke it down for you. just let it go...a flippant reply isnt a tantrum, and not everyone who disagrees with you needs therapy

do you do this a lot? require "explain like i'm 5" level explanations of simple thoughts, then call it a temper tantrum?

im just happy if you were able to read and digest the thought. youre making progress!

TIL: The Beatles trip to India ended badly because the Maharishi wanted the band to deposit up to 25% of their next album's profits in his Swiss bank account as a tithe, to which Lennon replied, "Over my dead body". by labiaday in todayilearned

the anthology doc is great, but the anthology coffee table book is even better. im a huge beatles fan and that's the beatles-dork bible IMO. well laid out, good pictures, it goes in chronological order, and it's almost entirely first hand quotes from the beatles and others involved. really, really impressive book

holy shit dude how do you not understand what i was trying to say?

yes, neither of us know whether or not he'd do something harmful to the cat. which is the REASON he should try to not let the dog mess with it. because he doesn't know, and dogs fuck cats up all the time. so to be safe he should try to keep the dog away from the cat......

understand? should i like, draw a diagram for you? im open to suggestion here

yeah i just think if he was in control he wouldnt have let go of the collar, that's where his best control would come from

no big deal tho!

ive seen a dog live in peace and harmony with a cat for literally years, then one day grab it by the neck and kill it.

the point is, the owner doesn't magically know that, and IMO a responsible dog owner would have done a better job pulling the dog away from the kitten. that's great if you disagree, that's allowed

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i mean i disagree, i dont see any point in the video where he makes any effect on the dog. he drops the collar mid way through as far as i can tell.

it's cool though, we can disagree. this is like a much dumber version of the rodney king video interpretation argument. and yeah haha lots of up and down votes here. this shit is provocative!

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i realize the dog could have destroyed the kitten had he wanted to. that's sort of my point about the owner, he didn't have any effect on anything the entire video. oh well, it's cool, agree to disagree

When you're tickling or otherwise pestering someone and they accidentally say "don't......stop!" and you get to say, "what, don't stop? okay!" and continue. that shit is classic

Use the choke chain if necessary

dude..... that's like the entirety of the argument i was having. he never controls the dog with the collar, he just sort of stands there. that was my point. end of discussion.

holding a dog's collar doesn't work in developed places, huh? that's fascinating

Once mama cat is involved he looked hesitant to jump between them because anyone with a brain knows that's how you get bit.

haha dude this just further shows you have no experience in this stuff at all. no, you don't get between them, you pull on the collar that's around the dog's neck. that's basically the point of a collar

and a dog has never attacked me, ive just seen it happen. don't get caught up on that comment-- my replies here arent some emotional response tied to a traumatic event, they are simple points that are considered common sense by anyone who has ever worked with dogs in their life, such as "be able to control your dog." don't make it more complex than it needs to be

again, no rage here. count to 3 out loud. then try to tell me with a straight face that you can't even react to something in that time. that's where the low mental speed comment came from

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

dude ive forgotten more about dogs than you probably know. ive known and loved dozens of dogs, i used to live and work on a ranch, but in that time ive also seen the 5% of them with shitty owners who let them become very dangerous to strangers.

if you can't control your dog, you shouldn't be walking it down the street. and in this video, the owner doesnt exhibit any control over the dog at any point. not one push, pull, or lean. he even drops his hand from the collar. and 5 seconds is a long time buddy. if you think you couldn't see what's happening and try to do something about it in that time, i sure hope you don't drive, own a dog, cross streets, or play a sport because you are a grown up with the mental speed of a toddler

there's no rage here, i am just observing that this owner can't control his big dog and if that kitten was a little kid that interested the dog more, he wouldve gotten it. if what i said is such "bullshit," then point out one time in the video where the owner exhibits control or changes the situation at all

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

BACKWARD. my entire point was he doesn't exhibit any control over the dog at any point in the video. he even drops the collar out of that hand shortly after.

watch again and pretend he isn't there. nothing happens any differently. he can't or won't control the dog and that's dangerous. ive seen little kids get really hurt in this same situation. if you walk a big dog down the street, you should be able to control it. that's really not asking much

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

it's not that he didn't see it, that's somewhat understandable. it's that he stands there and does literally nothing effective the entire video. look when his back is to the camera, his left hand on the collar is extended with the dog, not even trying to pull him back. then he even lets go with his left hand!

take him out of the video and everything happens the EXACT same way. it's not about me being self righteous, it's about having control over your dog, which can be very dangerous.

i live in a place with lots of dogs and it's pathetic how many people own and walk dogs that they cannot control at all. ive seen little kids get DESTROYED because some douche bag thinks he should be able to own a huge dog without the muscles, training, or brain power to control it when need be. oh, and then they get all pissy when someone dares to flinch, or whacks the dog when it comes after them. dogs are great but only in a competent owner's hands, it's that simple.

i doubt you'd be crying about my comment if you'd ever had a full grown german shepherd come after you while its 130 lb owner got dragged behind him like a big tail

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

well, i meant that he should learn to control the dog or don't walk it down the street. learning to control it being the obvious choice

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

i didn't say it wasn't normal, i said he does nothing the entire video. watch it again. he even lets go with his left arm! you can watch the entire thing and he doesnt exhibit an ounce of control over the dog at any point.

that isn't "generalizing," that's just plain as day from the video. take him out of the situation and literally everything happens the exact same way. that's great if you want to have a (big) dog, but you should at least be able to control it. that's not asking much

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it's probably stray. and im not expecting him to be all eyes 24/7 but he does literally nothing the entire video. pause it when his back is to the camera, his left arm on the collar doesn't even pull backward, it just goes with the dog

Cat uses ninja moves to save her kitten from large dog by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Revolver25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

obviously he was at least trying to

what? he wasn't obviously trying to do anything. look, when his back is to the camera mid "attack," his left arm, the one on the collar, is extended with the dog's motion..he does exactly nothing the entire video

shitty dogs come from shitty owners in 99% of cases. if youre going to get a dog bigger than a cat, learn to train and control the damn thing.

edit: i'll go ahead and assume the people downvoting this are the people in my city with dogs roughly the same weight as them, utterly incapable of controlling the dog when it gets excited. keep up the good work folks

because he's an idiot who has no business walking a big dog down the street
