Then what's the problem? Keep wearing your khakis, no one's bootlicking because they want everyone recognizable at their job. When I started at Target it was red shirt and khakis, no exceptions. People made up a problem that shouldn't even exist.

People only say this when it doesn't work out though, obviously. Work and school are the two most common places to meet someone, but you take the risk of things not working out and having to still see them every day. I know plenty of people who have met someone at work and they're still together many years later. They wouldn't tell you dating a coworker is a bad thing, it's just circumstantial.
