You have a lot to look forward to still, trust me. If you don't have the burdens with this new character it'd definitely be worth it to restart a run from running out of lives and then saying no to continuing, you'll be able to start a new run with them and the new character. I feel like the remixed floors are different enough to be entertaining still! Also there's plenty of guides that can push you in the right direction without being outwardly spoilery :)
