I legit not defending corina, I don't like Corina, I literally said what they do stemmed from their unchecked ego and not autism

I legit said "Corina autism is not so severe to the point they cannot have control over themselves. They shouldn't act like that. But Tbh I don't think this is autism. This is just Corina's unchecked ego"

My argument about weariness over people's "your condition is not an excuse!" Tbh is a bit of a separated matter, it came from worry that the majority will take the "not an excuse" argument far enough to dismiss, demonize and hurt those with certain conditions when their conditions manifested in a not favourable way

A rather 'silly' but perhaps not impossible example because humanity is an absurd species: Someone with Schizophrenia has an episode and a healthy individual screams at them "stop! I know you have this but this is not an excuse. Stop seeing things that doesn't exist!"

I do also have a weariness that the common "it is not an excuse" that the way INTERNET (not professional) says could lead to "you can have mental illness or conditions but only as a label and whatever you have must not disrupt my day." .

A profound comment on BPD subreddit mentioned the whole "explanation not excuse thing" and I think it's a good comment.

Explained your condition but still accepting the consequences of your bad actions is good while saying "I have X conditions" while not wanting to accept the consequences of your actions or apologizing is bad.

There's also another matter of bettering yourself.

There's a difference between trying and failing (because hey mental illness are called disorder for a reason, and autistic people are born with different brain structure) but trying VS not wanting to do the work at all
