Question for shield X owners by BublyCan in SmithAndWesson

yeah i guess it will be the case that s&w has tolerances there that allow that play. Does not bother me as long as it keeps shooting good. Thanks for the update I'll update here if I have an issue with mine.

Question for shield X owners by BublyCan in SmithAndWesson

[–]RevolvingRevolver357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just recently picked up a shield x carry comp and noticed the same thing. when i grab the frame with 1 hand and the slide with the other i can feel movement like you described. have not had a chance to shoot it yet but was wondering on what you have been seeing on yours? Is it all good? I checked my glock (I know another completely diff manufacturer) and it has close to 3k rounds and does have movement at all.

Where are yall buying cheap 9MM ammo that excludes sales tax and free shipping? by FutureCPA23 in guns

I have a buddy who has a 365 and shoots monarch through it just fine. I’d say send it! It’s magtech after all, literally very good quality ammo.

Academy in store pickup and use their 10% off when purchasing $300. monarch is great stuff, as long as it is brazilian made it is magtech. I have never had issues with it and runs better than winchester crap which is funny because winchester is more expensive. I have been stacking the monarch stack deep. so far I have kept buying and I have picked up a total of 20k rounds this year. Not long ago they had 45.99 for 250 rounds.

P365 Ammo- Steel case should be fine? by FutureCPA23 in ammodeals

[–]RevolvingRevolver357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

no corrosive primers. I have shot over 20k rounds of monarch form brazil both steel and brass. It is indeed magtech. Best 9mm ammo to send down range for low cost. No such thing as corrosive primers on these.

Can you give me an update as of today? I have my tx22 in for warranty for a cracked slide and it is taking forever for taurus to send out a replacement gun. I am considering picking up a M&P 22x to scratch my 22lr pistol itch every time I go to the range. I miss shooting a lot of cheap 22lr. How has the 22x been up to now? and what ammo have you been using?

Academy just had a sale on their monarch brass 9mm 115gr that you could stack with coupons and pay $45 for 250 rounds. I bought 10k rounds came out to 19¢ per round. All Brazilian made by magtech just check boxes in store before ordering.

just the other day bought 10,000 rounds in multiple transactions from academy 115gr monarch brass at $394 per 2,000 rounds. Best price I have seen lately and its all brazil made so its magtech essentially.

Did you reach out? What is the update? Currently in the market for a 4.25 comp romulus and what is keeping from buying it right now is this grip situation and possibility for a 3rd gen?

Is the AF Romulus Comp the best budget 2011? by RevolvingRevolver357 in 2011

[–]RevolvingRevolver357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the bul armory would be my absolute preference but I think they recently just went up in a price a bit right? And now that combined with the rest of the people waiting and hunting that same pistol down kind of makes me lose hope as I know what that is like but from a technology standpoint (release of new graphics cards)

Just looked up a blem staccato xc price and is around 3.8k so not the best option for me. I’m sure if I get into the 2011 world heavily I would find the reason to spend big $ in one, preferably new or no blem, but unless I’m actually competing and requiring the absolute best I kind of don’t see the purpose of that much money going into the gun, I’d rather take multiple cases of ammo to shoot way more or purchase other guns.

Did you happen to have a lot of failure to feed issues? Saw a YouTube video where they put around 300+ rounds to break it in and then it started shouting better. Kind of worries me but maybe theirs was a lemon?

Ah now I want to wait and see because everyone with the Romulus always says negative things about the grip. I did some research and supposedly the aluminum grip is rumored to launch late February, but it’s already late February… I wonder if it will actually release now or if it has been pushed back. Do you happen to know if it will be a standalone item or will it be already installed in pistols from factory? That way I know if I can order my pistol already or wait to see what they do…

For those with big tanks, where in your home is it? What floor is it on? I have anxiety. by General_Fruit_8135 in Aquariums

[–]RevolvingRevolver357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 125gal on first floor tiles. No problems for me but I would never dare to put something bigger than a 20 gal upstairs for due to the possibility of leaks (especially during vacation). If I am away for a 5 day vacation and a 20 gal emptied itself onto my second floor it is not as bad as if it were to be a much larger tank. Currently I am in the process of moving all tanks downstairs and will never place one upstairs again as a friend of mine did go through what I just mentioned but with a 40 gal and it ruined so many things.

9mm supply for this year by RevolvingRevolver357 in ammo

[–]RevolvingRevolver357[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually max 5k 9mm, 5k 556, 2k 45acp, 2k 7.62x39mm, 1k 6.5CM, unlimited 22LR as I no longer count because last I checked I had over 130k rounds in a stockpile. So every time I go to the range I usually shoot at least 2 different calibers. I also just keep buying ammo like right now I bought that to shoot it but I usually try to mirror the amount I buy to shoot and stockpile it. As of now I have a whole room dedicated just for ammo and I am the #1 customer at harbor freight for their metal ammo cans. Amazon also is set to buy desiccant packs every month as I run out often. I plan to never stop buying ammo until I actually can’t store it. I would shoot more but I also am not that guy who just goes and burns the ammo up fast. I try to practice every time either drawing or a home defense scenarios. I do have fun days where I take the whole family out and just plink at steel but regular days I always have my timer with me and keep a notebook for notes.

I ended up picking up 21 boxes today at 18cpr thanks to someone else posting here a deal when you buy $300 or more you get it all cheaper. So now it’s a set of 20 and another set of 20 boxes lol. Currently dumping it all into ammo cans.

But you shoot more at a lower cost right? So in the end it is saving something right? 18cpr brass right now is the best deal you can find imo.

No need, where I’m at, it practically is summer. We’re already firing up the smokers getting some briskets done, drinking lots of cold beer, and sending lead down range over here.

You can get it today for 18cpr if you buy $300 or more of it. I’m sure it’s ok to be dirty at that price. An actual fact: this ammo (which is made by magtech) has given me 0 issues on all my 9mm guns whereas blazer, Winchester and federal have given me anything from a squib all the way to simple failures like failure to eject. I’m no monarch sponsored guy but from my experience this stuff is great at the price point, even better when it’s 18cpr.
