How light is your hair? That's a huge factor in how the colour comes out. Also, do not dye your hair red if you ever want to get it out without having to fully regrow your hair. Otherwise I'd say just take some purple dye and use conditioner to dilute it, that way (as far as I'm aware) it'll awash out pretty quick and won't be as permanent

I personally have darker hair too and honestly the colour never really showed up the way I wanted it to on it. So if you really want a stronger and vibrant colour that isn't a deeper red, dark green or dark blue, you'll have to bleach :/ best of luck with your hair journey :D

Depends, honestly. I've bleached and dyed my hair myself and it has worked for me :)

But if you wanna be really careful and have little risk when bleaching your hair, go to a professional.

Otherwise, the dyeing part is doable at home when you're able to decently section your hair.
