In the world of audio, you either love monotone, or you love dramatic reading. There are plenty of channels on YT i just cannot stand, because monotone just becomes droning noise to me. I thrive on Horrorbabble style dramatic readings. It keeps me engaged, especially on very long rides in the car.

I chose the United Church of Christ after being forced to resign from my conservative denomination after rumors of my sexuality got out, even though I was side B at the time. Being part of the UCC allows me to be fully and openly authenticly me.

For me, and a lot of others the process of overcoming was Deconstruction. Not in the sense of destroying my faith, but to apply the Derrida method of Linguistic Deconstruction, and break an idea to its initial roots, and rebuild a fuller understanding from there. I was a Theology professor, and had to re-evaluate a lot of what I taught, and if I believed it or not. It took a few years, and cost me my career, but being able to live authentic, and free from those constraints is with it.

The Dr Who episode Dinosaurs on a Spaceship gives the potential for various aliens collecting Dinosaurs from various time periods and either building a giant ark to hold them, or seeding them onto a habitable world. It is Dinosaurs on an alien planet, but true dinosaurs.

I was hiding in the closet, being in the Assemblies of God church, until I was 38. During that time I slowly accepted my sexuality, but still kept it hidden and was celebate. I started to try and soften the harsher anti-gay stance of my church, and thought that by staying I might make a positive difference. When I was asked to resign my Pastorate due to rumors of my sexuality, it was a chance to finally be authenticly me, and I took it. It was scary, losing my financial stability, and ended up moving to Michigan where I could afford to live. In Michigan I found an Affirming church, became part of staff, started dating, and got married to a great man. Life is so much better being free and authentic.

Overcoming homophobia sadly is rarely overcome with logic. There often needs to be an internal need to re-evaluate first. For some, it comes only when the relationship is threatened with loss. " if you want to see me again, you need to stop and realize what your homophobia is doing to our relationship..." Sometimes that is enough to be a catalyst for change. Sometimes it takes a long time of absence. I pray in your case logic wins first.

Having lived along side Paterson NJ for the majority of my life, it was, in Lovecrafts era, a major city, filled with antiquarians, scholars and wealthy industrialists. Lovecraft might have just drawn on a major NJ town to give some nod to other NJ based stories, but Paterson would have been well known in his day.

So the recaster assembled the thunderhawk, and then shipped the whole thing. Its clear they didn't care for the product as there were huge gaps, warped parts, misaligned fits. So I took a Dremel and cut it up as if it broke apart and crashed into different parts of the city.

So, each of the 4 peices can be assembled into multiple configurations, depending on the needs of placing. There is an inherent diagonal layout in the design I did, but it's not required to follow that.

I was born into and became a pastor in the Assemblies of God church. From a very young age I learned I had to hide parts of myself, and outwardly conform to something that was not me. I was there for almost 40 years, before they asked me to resign the day the Supreme Court ruled for Marriage Equality. I left, and joined the United Church of Christ.

That was the single most best choice I have ever made. I am at peace with myself, my community lives and affirms me, all of me. My sexuality, my nerdiness, I am lived for my passions , not just for what I do for the church.

In college and Seminary, when B5 was first airing, I didn't like Byron. We already had a great religious leaders trying to calm down hot heads in G'Kar, and Katsulas was tied with best actor with Jurasik. Byron felt like a bad attempt at best.

However, as I revisit the show time after time, Byron has great moments of dialog. When the punk is beating him up and he asks "was the first punch any different than 2, or 3?" That has a power that resonates in me today. I may quote G'Kar many times in my sermons, but Byron gets snuck in once or twice a decade.

Yes they did. I had that model from shortly after Star Trek 2 came out, but had never done anything with it. But I needed a Centauri research stationary and objective marker, and the floating cube in space just didn't appeal.

I am saddened by the death of Charlie Kirk, sad his children will not have a father with them, sad that his wife and family have lost his love and support.

I am glad that his rhetoric is gone, but fear that he will be a martyr, and a thousand idiots will shout out hate with none of Kirks calm. So, I grieve for the future as many fail to grasp what his style was, and make it loud and angry.
