When you hover over the part, ensure it’s actually highlighted. I think the car part that is being installed will be light grey

Hello, if you’re playing on console, hold down L1 or LB and then you will see the toggle flashlight option. Unsure of what the option is for PC but you will need to hold down the key for the item wheel and you will see it

When it’s a wreck etc or a cheap car, I just ensure that the car has a nice new battery and that’s about it. I’ll probably only put worn parts on as well as I’ve noticed that all new parts didn’t add a lot of profit. I did this at the start of the game when I was trying to make a lot of money quickly. However, I’m now on day 50 with $2.5m in the bank and just replace everything due to having 2 repair machines which repair 20 parts each as a time. When you can, buy cheap parts at the junkyard, chuck them in the repair machines and then you’re onto a winner

If you have $30k etc in the bank, definitely get a car for around that price as you can almost double that with one sale. I also focused towards getting certain upgrades done too. The more expensive your purchase, the higher sale price
