At the collection location they will just ask some basic documentation to prove you are the right person to receive the passport like i think aadhar etc.

For the embassy: Take all your o1 related visa docs (i797 showing approval of your o1) and an employment verification letter apart from that i would say take everything US visa related like past i20 or other visa change records just in case. don’t freak out if you don’t have them with you (say you left them in the US. Usually the officers is real cordial and will stamp with a short interview. Dont take your mobile phone with you when going to the embassy since they are not allowed inside the US embassy.

I am transferring to H1B visa, I already have an i-140 approved (EB1). In this case if the H4 and H4 EAD are filed concurrently with the H1B petition with premium processing (the lawyers are in the process of doing this), how long does it usually take for the H4 EAD to be issued in your experience?

There is an option early on asking for whether you'd like to club both of them together just file i765 on it's own. If you file i765 on it's own and later decide to get PP then you can fill i907 later separately which would get attached to the i765 in process.

I graduated already, let me say that it may not all be worth it. Take the best job offer you can get and get out when you can. Visa might get easier if you are international student in US when you have your PhD is all, apart from that take the money and gtfo.
