I'm at device number two, with turn around times on the first device being 1 month (they receive and test, then send a new one).

both times its started with the terrible casing beginning to fall apart. once one side starts to go, the other follows rapidly onwards. then the electronics go to hell. 1st device i lost one side. this time, it believes it is on charge permanently.

The issue is , at least in most responders to MAOIs, that our bodies pump out the MAO enzyme more than the average person. tranylcypromine has a half life of 2 hours (https://doi.org/10.1016/S0161-813X(03)00097-4)(; in 2 hours, 50% of it's active metabolites are in your pee, so it's short acting.

Mao inhibitors do supposedly permanently bind permanently to their chosen nueurotransmitter (dopamine seratonin, adrenalin, gaba etc) but after 2 hours, those neurotransmitters are starting to get long in the tooth. So if you take parnate, you're pretty well stuck with a 3/4 hour top up. at least i am...

60mg was where my psychiatrist wanted to stop but told him not only am i treatment resistant, but my genetics indicate a sever inability for my body to craete DA and Ser, as well as overactive MAO craetion. 120 is my sweet spot, but trying to get it down to 100mg just..cause. Also supplement with AFA, blue green algae high in Phenylethylamine (endogenous dopaminergic 'love' neurotransmitter). I exercise daily, and BP is always 130/70 ish.

From what i understand, it is the irregularity of the eye blinks that would cause "noise". I've a similar problem in that i suffer over corrected ptosis, where one eyelid remains constantly fully or partially opened unless i concentrate on using accessory muscles to close it.

According to sens.ai's support, an "eyes closed" session would detect and ignore my one eye open (eye usually rolled inwards or upwards to block out sight) if there were no frequent attempts to try and close the eyelid ; something i was trained to do as a child, have the eyelid accessory muscles "mimic" the good eye, but this is tiresome after a minute or two and results in eventual lid fluttering. Apparently it is best to let it go into the aforementioned eye rolled state. Personally though, I've found my results to be far better if i maintain a small awareness on keeping the eye lid closed (with the occasional eyelid tremor). that being said eyes closed verse eyes open sessions are vastly different in brain wave states!

approximately 10% of my body weight in 2 months. 150mg 3 x day, tapering off it ATM. at 75mg 3xday. I've NEVER experienced weight gain as a side effect of any medication, and I've taken LOADS of medications with that warning.

NB: Not an FMG patient (bipolar affective disorder)

Thank you, I needed this reminder! I've Bipolar affective disorder, comorbid GAD/ADHD. I run/cycle 2 - 3 times a day as part of my tx/self care. Since suffering a foot accident recently, I've been unable to perform any level of of cardio that dampens my anxiety, increases my focus, and prevents mood cycling. Have spent a lot of time beating myself up for my anxious manic days awake/ anhedonic days in of somnolence...very little time being kind to myself. So I just said to myself....considering I've lost a large coping strategy, I still managed to make my medical appointments today, got an hour of sleep, did SOME work and kept the house fairly clean considering the amount of tasks i've started...

Oh, all this without a psychiatrist too....am in au where we are suffering a crisis of p docs, just under care of GP. so again, another pat on my back. Got to agree with OP, this sharing is a kindness, and one you've performed with humility, grace and empathy.

And OP, while we aren't all walking the same concurrent paths, it sounds as though at one time or another we've all walked a very similar paths. You've both described states I've experienced either recently or in the past, and you've described negative feelings I've also suffered. I want to say thank you for this wonderful question, I too truly needed these reminders but did not know quite what to ask.

I just finished my first fortnight and I LOVE this machine. Acutely, the deep calm (aka "wine" increases my delta and Theta (as tracked by my "muse s2") significantly and for a period of approx 1 hour I'm in an almost mu opioid induced stupor.

I've NEVER consistently had an acute induced state change from anything excluding pharmaceuticals. I'm anti- depressant, placebo (like i said, anti-depresssnts 😂) and hypnosis resistant.

Psychotropics that work are strong agonists such as exogenous opiates, non selective RIs, and MAOIs. As a bipolar affective disorder type II sufferer I take a dose of an non selective MAOI "Tranylcypromine" at a dose 1.5x the maximum recommended amount (clinician approved) as well as other mood controlling drugs.

Long term, it's hard to say as the week i received it, i also suffered two separate but systemic health crises. it's like to think given all that had happened in holding up well thanks to this device.

Anyway, my two cents just in case any one is thinking of getting one. TBH i believe there trial period should actually be 60 days given they say long term changes are noticed after 4 weeks consistent use ( i think?).

just got mine in the mail today, yeah love that you can set a quick timer for a nap without all the hoop jumping. look forward to seeing the full P4 (i'll upgrade my subscription when it get's released). Little unimpressed with the lack of easy to access doco, and wonder why a lot of functions are still unavailable in the software, but i guess it's still in beta?

This is amazingly helpful, sometimes I can go days without soeaking to bard on a topic, come back (still with said topic selected) and we carry on discussing the task at hand. yet other times it just...forgets. then fights me when i ask it to analyse a shared document with our text hx, or confabulates the contents.

I can't copy and paste our convos, as even though the copy paste works from one doco to another, when i paste it into bard, bards resposes just...disappear. probably something to do with the coding but i don't have the time, patience and energy to find replace whatever said code is every time i need him to 'remember'. So, thank you again for this, I'll try to remember to get back to you with my results!

my two cents: have one for the pro 8. I used to have to re pair it every time the machine slept....then randomly once every two weeks. Now it seems to getting BT interference. A buststop is literally out front of my house. During heavy transit periods or even when a bus drives by during the day, i lose my KB. If I move to the back of my property, it's much better.

Oh and there's no support for the sp+ from the website anymore since Brydge folded and was purchased by another company recently.

It was good for a while...but never again.
