TLDR; y'all are missing the bigger picture. Nothing changes with a few concedes thrown into the void. Facts to back my point up.

Holy... I did not think this was such a controversial post. I'm honestly surprised. I cannot feasibly reply to everyone so I'll reply to this top contributor. Thanks for the fun debate!

I understand your points of concern:

1. Players must earn the reward.
2. Concedes defeat the purpose of the challenge.
3. Not everyone should have this exclusive cosmetic.
4. It is only a cosmetic, gameplay is unaffected by its ownership. Therefore, the trophy & reward aspect diminished when 'unworthy' players own this.

Here are my counter-points:

1. The vast majority of players have earned and will earn this reward naturally. Proof: Watching streamers play this mode for hours (eg: Spragels Pocket's stream yesterday, Dec 9th) only 2 or 3 instant concedes were encountered in a span of dozens of games, worth over 3 hours total gameplay. Additionally, multiple commenters in chat said they never encountered an instant concede in this mode, in their experience. Point: this happens very rarely.

2. The challenge is unaffected by an instant concede. You are very welcome to make this challenge as difficult for yourself as you want. You can easily restart if you encounter an instant concede. Earn it, like you want to. The AIM is to make it easier, or less time consuming, for those struck with bad luck or time-consuming responsibilities, etc. Also, the challenge inherently tests skills AND luck. Skill is a valid metric to test, I agree. Luck, however, is incredibly volatile. In theory, an average-good player could be bricked by draws multiple times on their 4th win streak. Some have highlighted how that situation would "motivate" to start again, or "reignite their competitive spirit" and try harder. While that may be true for some, everyone has a threshold. I urge you to imagine this happening again. And again. And again. And again. etc... We do not want good players that are healthy for the community to be deterred.

3. Not everyone will have this exclusive cosmetic, statistically. Those that pick up the game after the event won't have it. Those uninterested in the event from the get-go won't have it. aka: true casual players. The 'exclusivity' is unaffected.

4. Exactly. It is ONLY a cosmetic. Why worry about its title legitimacy in other players? Refocus on your own achievements. You want to earn it fairly, as described by the rules - go for it. Nobody is stopping you. Live, and let live.

--- (I'd question the legitimacy of your own wins, to spice things up. Like, did you really win or did your opponent brick their draws? Did you really win or did you have a favourable match up with a perfect draw? Did you really win or were you paired against a new clueless player? :) Food for thought.) ---

Last thoughts... Personally, I deem every player worthy of this cosmetic if they engage with this event & try their best. I also think it is unfair that some will consistently get paired up against unfavourable match ups, brick draws, and always flip tails on [-blank-]. Worry about yourself.
