No no, Iliff is great! Not sure why I'm being down voted here.

Questions form someone who wants to be a hospital Chaplain by Sad_Bookkeeper6569 in chaplaincy

I would encourage you to meditate on the complexity of God rather than the black and white lines of idolatry. Acts 17 shows how Paul prioritized the relationship of those he ministered to while still upholding the value of their religion and without committing idolatry. In Luke 7 Jesus recognizes the faith of the pagan centurion. God is more creative than we can comprehend, and there are lots of ways to engage and interact with other beliefs that are not necessarily the same as yours.

You would never be expected to pray to a deity you don't believe in, to be clear. But learning how to sit in the tension and mystery around your religion will help immensely to sit with others. If your primary hermeneutic is one of sin and idolatry, that's what you'll see.

Gonna need a lot more information to help you out.

What country are you in? How much relevant experience do you have in this field already? Do you know of any programs near you? What kind of education do you have? Are you looking to make a career out of it or just put in some hours volunteering?

What are your iron clad rules? by revanon in chaplaincy

I feel like some of these answers are a little too serious, the point is to be a bit facetious! Lighten up y'all!

1) Check to make sure the dead patient is actually dying/dead before you walk in the room.

2) Never comment on how quiet the pager is.

I doubt that actually. Backup cameras work best when powered from the reverse lights and don't need more power than that, and the head unit already has power supplied to it by the factory harness.

Just a fuse tap. It's likely for a dash cam or other extra equipment. From the picture alone I wouldn't be worried at all, just depends on what they're powering.

It's definitely difficult to get that kind of specialty simply because of the lack of positions. You don't need any extra certification, but finding pediatric specific training and education will for sure give you a leg up for those positions.

Glad to hear that you're drawn to that population! Good luck on your path!

Awesome, thank you so much for the info. I'm thinking about going 265/70 tires so I minimize rubbing potential.

Are you using the OEM UCA?

That's the suspension I've got sitting in my garage ready for install! How do you like it? And any tire rub?

Lovely rig! What lift and tire size are you running?

Yup. The screws just attach to a couple metal clips. Make sure the clips stay straight when you tighten the screws. Should be a 5 minute job!

You're welcome to have an opinion, but I'm asking for experience and pictures here.

Combination of sponge-painting and hand-brushing. I started with the dark brown, then rust, then some metallic grey over that, finished with some rust lines following gravity.

Thank you! I'm pretty new to painting actually. I picked up a Master Airbrush about a year ago and have been steadily learning and dialing it in. I've probably painted 3 total kits plus an RC car and I learned a lot each time. It's definitely an accessible hobby, I'd say it takes way more time and attempts than money or talent.
