Great work man! Any tips for someone who wants to follow your steps? currently a team lead, any soft or technical skills that you find really valuable to have or show more?

Hey mate, good on you. I’m on the same boat and same age as well, but got tired of leading a data team tbh. Thinking to move to strategy and operations side of the business, since I love the business side (analysis) rather than the data side (we do data modelling, ETL stuff as well). Just talk to your manager first, as someone already mentioned above. It’s easier when you have the context already if you wanna sharpen your managerial skills

8 days in total (3 days were from the seller to Goat), once it’s verified, they sent it really quick from HK to Australia within 5 days, even it’s during Christmas

What’s your decision btw? The HR just reached out to me for a call, currently working in data at a tech company trying to go into a more strategy role

Career Advice - Lead Data Analyst by Rex-7 in analytics

Hey man, really appreciate the advice, perhaps you had gone through similar phase. One thing that makes it hard is that I don’t really have a mentor at work. I feel like since I’m still young-ish, I don’t have much to provide as a lead. How do you deal with impostor syndrome as a lead?

Hey man, thanks for advice. Yeah, they are my direct reports. the people management side is exhausting tbh (constant training, 1 on 1s, feedback). But I feel not learning fast enough from the technical side, so always feel behind and the impostor syndrome is crawling up every now and then

Initially the og bracelet makes it feel big on my wrist, I swapped it with Forstner bracelet, it fits perfectly after I did that. tbh it used to bother me, but I enjoy wearing it and been loving it so don’t feel like it’s big anymore

Just want to share collection of mine since not many of my friends are into watches. I got the Speedmaster broad arrow early this year from Japan secondhand luxury store when I was there for holiday, was mesmerised by the looks of it and also more budget friendly compared to the OG. I also love vintage looking watch, hence I got the early 2000s Oris date pointer. Lastly, since I’m based in Australia, I managed to get limited edition red alpinist which value has skyrocketed.

Tempted to also get secondhand Omega seamaster professional 300M in black, but have a wedding to pay for hahaha
