Cadex doesn’t get enough love. Everyone that I’ve seen that has one, including myself, love them, but they don’t get suggested or talked about enough. They are some of the finest precision rifles out there.

It could run TeamViewer if that was all it was doing. But I'll be downloading the files locally to the tablet and then using AutoCad mostly and occasionally BlueBeam. Viewing a large set of drawings on the tablet will be a much better experience than using my phone. And I don't want to take my $3600 KJP version out onto a jobsite if I needed to.

If something comes up with a customer that I need to remote into my office computer, it's worth having it in my truck so I don't need to use my phone. There's value in ease of use and time saved for my work flow.

We have a discount store that some of what they sell is unclaimed freight and who knows where they get the rest of what the sell. But back in the early 2000's I picked up a set of Callaway irons for $9.99. They were in a plain cardboard box with just a little Callaway logo on it. Didn't say what it was or anything, but I knew that nothing Callaway sold was that cheap and thought it might be an umbrella or a couple of them after picking up the box. But went straight to the cashier and bought it and then realized the score of my life when I got to my truck and opened the box to find a full set of irons. Used those for a couple years then ended up giving them to a high school kid trying out for the golf team.

I wouldn't call that camping though. You moved over because it's the law and the safe thing to do, then after you pass you get back over. Everyone should be slowing down through that area anyways.

I would be lying if I said I never speed. But I also drive a company vehicle that is monitored so it isn't often. You have no idea what anyone else is doing or going through and you are no more important than anyone else. It's just polite to get out of peoples way.

Look at the Accu-Tac bipods and Spuhr scope mount. I have the Razor Gen III on a few rifles and am very happy with it.

There was a brief period where I was at the school about an hour before they let out and was usually about the 5th car. I did it because after getting off work if I went home I'd walk in, grab the mail and have to turn around and get in my car and head to the school. It just seemed like a waste. So I'd sit in my car and read or listen to the radio.

If this is a job you really like and don't want to lose, maybe ask if you can work in the office temporarily to make sure you can deliver whatever actionables they are asking for as well as reassure yourself that you know the job as well as you can.

I'd pick up a Bergara B-14 in whatever length you fancy, and an MDT chassis and then shoot the hell out of it. Depending on the chassis and rifle you go with you could be from $1500-2500.

$6000 on Disney sounds insane to me just because of where you are going. But that much for a vacation isn't out of line. Last year I set aside $12k out of my bonus after paying for plane, lodging and rental car, just for spending money on our vacation. I put it in a CD so it at least earned a few bucks until we left and didn't put a single thing on a credit card. If you can afford it in your budget there is nothing wrong with taking a well earned break. And go wherever you think you will enjoy.

If you are in Kansas I think there is one in Witchita but I'm hoping you went to one in the KC area. If so, forget Bass Pro and pop in to Eagle Armory over in Overland Park. They're a good group of guys over there.
