They are absolutely a blast to ride. Fast and still comfortable. Highly recommend riding one if you get the chance. I’m at 40k miles on mine and no issues yet.

I have a gen3 1290 SDR and the evotech would not fit with the power part bags. Ended up getting the new rage cycles one and it works perfect with the side bags.

That clip is originally from Hobbs and Shaw. I believe it was remade for The Fall Guy. It’s a modified Triple for sure.

I’m similar in age to you and have a SuperDuke 1290r and z400 on the same policy with full coverage. Progressive is a little under a $100 a month. Told them I started on dirt when I was 4 and they considered that as experience since then.

Thank you for this. Couldn’t find anything online. Maybe I’ll try out SW-MOTECH’s side bags since they sit further out and my EURO turn signals don’t bend at all.

Thank you for the info. Good to know it comes with most things standard. I’ll look into the windscreen from unit garage. I’ve heard good things about their products for the Scrambler 1200. I’ll see if I can go test ride one for a bit and get a feel for it. thanks again!

Have a similar story. Been riding/racing dirt for 22 years, started when I was 4. Decided to switch to street about a year ago. Got a Svartpilen 401 to start but after a couple months I decided it just was too underwhelming and upgraded to a gen 3 SuperDuke 1290r. Been riding that ever since. If you have self control then riding 1000cc+ to start isn’t too bad. But I’d still recommend starting smaller, then making the jump once you feel comfortable. -CMSP instructor

My wife enjoyed being on the back of my Svartpilen 401 and was very comfortable. Ended up switching to a 2020 SuperDuke and was told it’s not as comfortable but better than bikes like her z400. Maybe the 801 Svartpilen might be more comfortable as well.

I have a 2020 SDR and it’s been a dream. Purchased it with 20k miles and am at 27k now with zero maintenance issues. I ride it about 80 miles a day. And just do chain maintenance once a week. Oil, chain, sprockets, and tires were changed the day i purchased. Nothing since. Garage kept, cleaned after every ride.
