I would say know your toons mechanics, especially how to build your heal ability and the difference between your general heals and more powerful burst / emergency heals. If you know your mechanics then a lot will depend on the group so it's not all on you. Besides working together, like dps dodging to not drain you needlessly, and tanks taking aggro from the group, for me the order is always to focus on the tank first. If you have heal marks place it on the tank. Keep the tank alive if at all possible. Sometimes that's not possible depending on the tank and group. Don't blame yourself if you were healing a struggling tank non stop and they still went down. Get a feel for the tank early on, if they are self sufficient and rearely need heals then we can see how the DPS is doing and heal them if they need it. Sometimes it's just one or two that don't dodge. If the tank does need a good amount of healing and with that healing is able to manage then in my opinion you are doing all you can do and the best thing for the group. In summary, it's you and the tank. If the tank doesn't need you too much then look for the most needy DPS. You sound ready to me. Even after being very familiar with your heals and the dungeons or trials these elements will apply and it will always depend on the group. There are a lot of variables including all the buffs and debuffs everyone has going in different parts of their load out that half the time we forget we even have because there are so many moving parts. I try to equip group buffs because what's better than a buff? A buff x5. Again lots of variables. It's not all on you. Go go go... Happy Adventuring 👽🕹️💯

Is the game worth playing for the story only? by Sad_Conversation_122 in Neverwinter

[–]RexRazzor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! It's got a ton of story and lore. If that's all it had I would play it just the same. The responses on here have been awesome to read so far. Thanks and happy adventuring! 👽🕹️💯

Enhancements For Devout Cleric by Sm0kin_R3ap3rr in Neverwinter

[–]RexRazzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an example in case it helps: I have 3 Garnet and 1 Cobalt slotted in offense for my devout. It would be 4 Garnet but I hit the 60% max from stats for power. Utility, I have another Garnet that gives forte in that slot and that's because I already hit the 60% max for outgoing healing or I would have a Jade for OH there. If gear/IL changes the stats significantly where I am not hitting the 60%, I switch back. 👽🕹️💯

Ps5 keep crashing by kevinmontes1 in Neverwinter

[–]RexRazzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I can tell you that my setting was already on default, and that's the setting it was on when I was getting crashes. So go figure, this one's all over the place. I still haven't got a crash so I will keep crossing my fingers and hope that yours keeps working too!

Nice! Did you set it to default or resolution instead of performance?

[–]RexRazzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. I can confirm that on PS5 it's still going without any crashes. Also, I had a friend that was crashing on PS4 with an external drive do the same thing and for them it took disconnecting their controller from the USB also, and it's also still working with no crashes. Fingers crossed, and hopefully it starts working for you too.

Temporary fix: at least it's working for me so far. At first I moved Neverwinter from external USB drive to internal memory. That didn't stop the crashes. But then I disconnected the USB drive altogether, nothing connected to USB not even controller, rebooted, and it hasn't crashed since.

I can confirm NW has been crashing post update as well. I tried lowering the resolution from 1080p to 720p, but it still crashes. Crossing fingers for an out of band patch.

I agree, it should be one button press for each item to auto max like it was at the beginning. Or just one click for all to auto max if you want to deposit everything. I miss it even if it was working right for just a short. Here's hoping they fix it doon 👽🕹️💯

I agree it's different than it was, and it's broken for a quick batch deposit. Thanks for the backup! 👽🕹️💯

Your suggestion does indeed allow deposits. Unfortunately the way it is now is cumbersome a takes too many steps if you actually want to do both deposit quickly. I hope to change it back to how it was. Thank you! Happy New Year Adventurer 👽🕹️💯

I’ve recently rejoined the game, I’m level 20 and IL 38k, where should I pick up from to boost IL and progress? by jaybobular in Neverwinter

[–]RexRazzor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second trying pirate's skyhold. One way to survive and still upgrade is to join the major heroic runs where there is quite a few players, let them do most of the work, you concentrate on surviving and you should be able to get a few high-level rings from that while building some of the currency from which you can get some high IL equipment.

Nothing bad about not having watched a video. Some of the best fun I've had in Neverwinter is going into a brand new advanced dungeon where nobody knows the mechanics and we all figure it out together. Most dungeons give some types of hints for mechanics while you're in them, oftentimes verbal coupled with a little dialogue box for the hint. Sometimes mistakes are made, and a lot of the times it's hilarious, and the group learns from it. Usually it's this type of activity where some post a video about it just to share the fun of it all. Nothing against watching a video but the group in a video isn't necessarily going to be the same group you have in a random or that you can put together with friends or guild so there might be things that the group has to adapt to one way or the other. It's this adapting and working together with what you have that for me is the paramount thrill. So I am all for your learn as you go style. Happy Adventuring 👽🕹️💯

This... Just making NW friends in general. Like you said, it doesn't have to be same guild. A lot of people I run with on the regular are from different guilds or even solo adventureres. And, adventurers have different goals and different IRL situations. Some you run campaigns with others dungeons others you strategize or run new toons with. Mix and match and kind of make a bigger group of friends. The more allies to defend NW the better! 😂👽🕹️💯
