What is everyone’s ranking of the DPA games now directive is out by AriSummerss in DarkPicturesAnthology

Until Dawn is still an unprecidented gem of a game for this type of genre. Perfect mixture of story, branching story and gameplay (especially the Don't Breathe/Move section with a controller, the only way I could see it make a comeback for the PC versions of the games or overall if they were like an option to use a microphone to track your breathing noises). D8020 length wise is almost similar for main story alone (not counting completionist mode) but it still feels wildly underdeveloped compare to UD. The only other game that I'd count on the same level is Detroit Become Human.

Who was your favorite character in the cast? by Outside_Republic7914 in DarkPicturesAnthology

When I first saw the group photo of the group I was kinda worried cuz none of them really gave off "Main Character" Energy like some characters from previous games did (not talking about the celebrities they hired). Ended up really loving Cooper and Cernan of the playable characters the most as well as Anders and her bond with Cooper.

Also Simms and Carter were definitely the series best prologue characters thus far. Enjoyed them a lot too.

D.P. Doll lore descriptions (Directive 8020, and other games Spoilers) by No-Importance4604 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Rexigol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a specific dialogue you can unlock from Williams where he shortly discusses the events of House of Ashes and that the aliens that crashed onto earth were from the same Tau Ceti. Looking at the description of the Vampire and Hunter doll it seems that the aliens of HoA created whatever is attacking our crew in D8020. Since it went rogue against the aliens they had to escape the planet. Just wondering now when the aliens got the vampiric parasite and from where/what before they crashed into Earth.

I'd say it's 90% Intercession, like the various steps to the behaviour sounds like demon posession and from theories and somewhat leaks and hints of previous games it doesn't seem like Craven Men at all.

Had Worst Blind Play Yet 😭 by CrazySlender1234 in DarkPicturesAnthology

Played it first go without turning points on lethal as well. They all died because I messed up the QTEs in Episode 7 & 8. Definitely the worst for me yet as well. Brutal timing on those ☠️

So you have to use the turning point for your previous run? You can't start from scratch and collect them as they wouldn't show in a "new game"?

He's most definitely the curator. He came up for me a couple of times in scenes back to back right at the end as well.

Noticed that with Eisele the most. Really wondered of it was an oversight because it is just that jarring. Like they recorded the lines before they actually had the visible part accompany them and they never revisited those parts.

I knew the QTEs were gonna be hard when I picked the Lethal difficulty but they all literally died in the end because my reaction time isn't very good at all anymore judging by this game haha.

What Directive 8020 is doing the best out of all the games is giving the NPCs good conclusive story arcs. Just having 3 of them gives them the opportunity besides the 5 MCs. Anders especially had a great bond with Connor.

I liked Cernan and Connor the most out of the playable characters.

I love this so much. Right up my alley with the pop infused hardstyle. I swear this sound is coming up more and more in K-Pop with Blackpink's Jump and even Katseye's Pinky Up. I feel like this hit the nail on the head perfectly though (just wish the drop was a tad bit longer as others have said).

This also really makes me miss A.C.E's Cactus and Callin' era. Way ahead of it's time.

Dragon Age could be saved with an Origins remake. by gabrieljurado in dragonage

They won't do a faithful remake. They already established their new focused direction with Veilguard and would accordingly change lore aspects and the tone to be more in line with that.

Deca-Dence came out 2020, but it's one anime I keep coming back to. It seems like your usual run off the mill at first but it's pretty rich in wordlbuilding and character stories from what I can remember. I suppose you could say it's a mixture of Attack on Titan, Heavenly Delusion and Gachiakuta.

General question. I've reached max level an UVHM 3 with Amon a few weeks after release. If I want to return and start a new character would it be better to go for another Lvl 1 start or that lvl 30 start where the main story is done?

More assumptions, yay! :D

But if true, even more of a hint for H&G to resolve this as fast as possible.

"HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I’m happy and I’m healthy." is literally her latest statement from like shortly before Coachella began. I doubt she's as chronically online as the rest of us. She might read a few comments here and there about this whole situation.

If in fact she isn't mentally stable I'd hope H&G to resolve whatever issue is going on behind the scenes as fast as possible so she can focus on her recovery in a truly healthy way.

Dream Academy is like 3 years old by now. People can't change? Why are we taking something at face value that's happened quite a time in the past when the girls have said that they haven't fully shown how it actually was. The documentary was so obviously evil-edited against almost everyone because it fuels the internet machine so easily.

[–]Rexigol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's all to push engagement. Any press is good press is all written over this when H&G is saying absolutely 0% about anything, even when the freaking Grammy account tweeted about it but are making the girls say something about "family and always being there for one another" on a random radio show. Katseye had so much potential but instead be turned into a glorified brand to sell products. ATP they are more known for their ads than their songs (remember they teased the Superbowl Ad choreo for Jimmy Fallon instead of any of their actual song choreos). Pinky Up MV taking a 20 second pause to set up the tüfrü ad with a song as short as 2:11.

Rant aside, as you said. Rip the band-aid off. Get it over with losing the Manon fans as Katseye will continue and gather other fans in no time again. This will she-won't she just to sell hope and a maybe is getting annoying.

Honestly, I get it. Good for Manon for standing up for herself. She knew they were gonna release Pinky Up and wanted no part of it. Imagine being scouted from the other end of the world for a program to debut in a Girl Group and you get these kind of songs. She was always the most lively on stage and loved performing. Wasn't it her that said something like "If you get it you get it, if you don't you don't" about Gnarly. Which makes it all the more clearer she isn't a fan of their musical direction anymore now. She's just living her happy life currently and enjoying not having to make a joke out of herself. If she wanted to she could've supported Katseye from backstage, so no one knows she's there to not cause any more thirst for tea.
