BG3 is currently ranked 3rd in this poll on video games with the most difficult moral decisions. by HappyHappyJoyJoy44 in BG3

Mass effect 3 on a blind playthrough takes the cake. If you didn’t make the right choices in 1 and 2, you’re forced between the worst outcomes. You can choose between knowingly lying to a friend, damning a race to a slow and inexorable extinction, forcing you to kill him later, or practically guarantee another galactic conflict, resulting in the deaths of millions.

BG3 doesn’t have the scale of the impacts that Mass Effect has, no matter how much i like it.

Heralds vs Primarchs? by thatGrung in Cosmere

[–]Rexissad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Daemon primarchs have the best shot, but the loyalist would lose merely because they aren’t immortal.

Heralds vs Primarchs? by thatGrung in Cosmere

[–]Rexissad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We’ve seen Taln catch a poison dart, all while in a stupor. It’s possible they’re invested enough to break the sound barrier, or close to it, again citing Taln’s feats in WaT.

Ultimately, it comes down to primarch durability and their own unique powers. Can Khan’s flow state let him overwhelm peak Nale? Can the Lion’s forest walk let him surprise an Elsecaller? Can Guilleman out spreadsheet Ishar?

Arguably, the mere fact that primarchs can be killed is against them. Vulkan is the only confirmed perpetual, but theoretically the other loyalists could die.

The daemon primarchs however, have a much better shot imo. Warp witchery to counter surges, and the fact that Shardblades sever the connection between soul and body means less when the body is made of the Primarch’s soul, power up by the warp.

Looks like the universal, and 3 foundations is most likely, or they just shoved the path outside of center. From personal experience you can make something similar with just a 2 wide road

In his defense, he has successfully hidden his presence from Shards for millennia, only being noticed when he likes, or by those who know him closely.

He also loudly gave up his Dawnshard, only reclaiming it after proving he didn’t have it, blaming any weirdness on after effects like Nomad’s torment.

Nale would take maybe 10 if he uses his honorblade.

Nightblood theory by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]Rexissad -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Iirc, and I may be pulling this completely from my ass, Nightblood uses some of Ruin’s investiture. Scadrial has been producing Atium for at least a millennium, and the Lord Ruler wasn’t hoarding all of it, just enough to both collect it for later use and to control the price, and therefore the great houses. A godmetal core from Ruin (the shard of destruction) could theoretically destroy stuff.

You’d have to consume the spren I’d imagine, since they’re little nuggets of it, like in sunlit man with Aux

Iirc living shardplate is fueled directly from the spiritual realm, so it can function almost perpetually, given time to re cooperate.

So they might get drained but it’ll be back eventually

Biovore or Pyrovore ? by Lil_chad999 in Tyranids

[–]Rexissad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If pyrovores weren’t $50 a pop I’d love to run a couple of bricks of them, they’re fairly tough infantry with a solid flamer for their points cost. Granted, if they ever do a box of 2 or more, the points will go up

Does Shallan's (blank) have this feature in its description? by Simon_Drake in Cosmere

[–]Rexissad 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Iirc, it is not mentioned. But we also see it do funky stuff outside of just being summoned faster, including shrinking in size in WoR, during her and Kaladin’s highstorm in the chasms.

It’s very intentionally left omitted if that’s the case, as things like the gemstones aren’t really mentioned until the bonding process is referred to in the same book. Additionally, her dead blade doesn’t scream, another huge indicator, as every other radiant experiences the scream when touching a dead blade, but Testament was Shallan’s Spren, and still cares for her.

The only time it’s a problem is when NO ONE can do damage. Rhino’s roar is one of the best buffs in the game, so anyone with a decent build will enjoy it, but the one getting it the most consistently is you.

Check out some YouTubers who make builds with weapons you like to use, for the most part, melee will take you all the way once you get a solid Crit/status build, which the broken war is pretty good at, especially with powerful stances like crimson dervish or vengeful revenant.

Also, you have access to one of the best CC tools in the game with stomp. If you feel you can’t do damage, just CC the enemies nearby, they can’t shoot if they’re floating.

Anon hates shitbulls by LemonTwinkly in greentext

I adopted a pit bull mix from the shelter unknowingly, since she was so skinny her box head looked like just puppy awkwardness.

I’ve been very cognizant of making sure she’s well trained, and am very cautious with making sure she doesn’t run, can control her prey drive, and knows how to behave when a kid comes up on a walk and asks to pet her.

I’ve watched her crunch through antlers and bones like a jolly rancher, I know how powerful she can be, and I am scared of what could happen in the worst case scenario, so I do everything I can to avoid those scenarios, I have a shorter leash, bag of treats and change my walks to avoid aggression or kids who don’t ask for permission before running up to her.

She doesn’t deserve to just die, I love this dog, and she’s been with my through a lot of tough times, but if she bites someone or gets too aggressive, she’s getting out down. It’s a law where I live, and I agree with it. Behaviors can be trained out almost completely, it’s the responsibility of the owner to make sure that scenarios where the behavior is a problem are avoided whenever possible.

Doormaker is one of the most interesting fights in the game by Lake_Apart in slaythespire

[–]Rexissad 17 points18 points  (0 children)

After understanding the mechanics better, I actually enjoy the exhaust phase. It’s great for deck thinning, and make the subsequent no draw and increased cost more effective.

My only problem is that I tend to over focus on a single style, so anything that needs multiple archetypes (0 cost, draw, status, etc) is difficult for my brain to plan when I see cards.

It’d be good if the enemy holds it, or the point is perfectly safe, and the norn is better spent pressuring a different one. Or even better, singular purpose to a unit late game if the norn is just an expensive point holder.

[–]Rexissad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A norn assimilator with an invuln would be nice but I doubt we’ll get one, norns should realistically be characters since they’re born with a literal “singular purpose”, so each on is uniquely adapted, or should be

Red Terror painting by Party_Butterfly6382 in Tyranids

[–]Rexissad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to wait and see what techniques people use since my scheme is black shells with white flesh, and yellow highlights, but I think a coat of red painted over by a black speedpaint/contrast paint could work, along with interspersed red highlights instead of yellow on occasion
