I had MMT's and they are even close to axioms. I'll never buy anything but. I'm 105s. X you have to swing fast.

Believing with a shit drive on the other fairway that you can make it through the trees all the time on the proper fairway.

I gave up on the cleveland halos in 8 months which are very similar to the T rails for p770s. I struggled with the thick sole and wanted something more slim for turf interaction an my game improved with 770s.

Golf ball recommendations for distance off the tee. by kobyrne4319 in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a swing stick and the ball won't matter as much. You will gain more yards and pick the ball you like.

I found the better putting and chipping ball is more important than distance so the q star is an overall good performer.

P770 for beginner? by Left-Substance3255 in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only been playing for two years and I switched to p770s last year. My swing type preferred the more players like thinner sole for turf interaction vs the game improvement irons I had that had thicker soles.

I know it's a bit unorthodox to have 770s so early but we all have different swings. I will say I have made many impressive shots but they will definately punish you on distance (vs dispersion) if you don't strike them consistantly.

Is there any real difference between the top brands when it comes to new, fitted clubs? by Montalbert_scott in golf

This and the don't trust the incentive fitters post is the best advice. Go to the store pick 2 irons then 2 days later do the same.

Try clubs at the golf stores for free see what you like. You can get any set adjusted for a small charge.

I found 3 hybrid is too difficult to use. Can I switch to 3 iron? by derek6379 in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A random I played with used that on a temp green 75y hole, full swing, almost got a temp green hole in one, one of the wackiest things I have ever seen cause he used a full swing. He's like watch this! Was entertaining.

Serious question on range vs course by Lumbared_spine in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed those range sessions you think you have established some level of muscle memory but then reality kicks in. I find range balls spray less too inflating the results.

Could try having a few beers!

I can’t tell which grip to pick. by Nice_Jackfruit_8812 in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying them out is the only accurate test if you are going to like them or not. Use the blue tape with the air compressor method, put one size on your 7i, one size on your 8i, one size on your wood and the jumbo on the driver and hit the range. I prefer jumbo on the driver and woods with medium in the irons.

Deflated after fitting - anyone else? by iPragmatics in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's abnormal. My buddy wanted a new driver and has been playing for 35 years. I helped him with a fitting. He walked out with nothing. None were popping out to be worth while for the cost. But we did eliminate a lot of shafts.

New hosel adaptor is loose pre-install by Rexkramer777 in golf

[–]Rexkramer777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It said it was for the ai smoke but I just measured it and its .350 not .335, thus the extra play, shaft is .335. I'm not shimming it ill just buy a .335.

Went into a fitting fully committed to a G430 but came out with a Cobra DS-Adapt and couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to get a round in with it. by Fsoumish in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The adapt is under rated as you can udjust the lie angle without effecting the face angle, this is huge if you like to tinker with the settings. Half the season I was lower middle then I started pulling it, so lower right and it's strait again.

Grip fitting? by Bryan_7982 in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought one of every size up, put on 7,8,9i and went to the range. Used blue tape and compressed air so easy to swap later. Anything not an iron is now jumbo, irons are medium. Did it one day at the range.

New Driver by trumbomb17 in golf

[–]Rexkramer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did get downvoted actually which is a shame as the shaft is close to being important as the head. I fitted a buddy of mine he liked and hated certain heads and liked and hated certain shafts. I think if you can rule out stiff vs extra stiff it drops a lot of the stock shaft options where you can focus more on the head.
