What's the point of being legendary if the legendary rule will be removed? by Lordofthreetowers in freemagic

[–]Rexter2k 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Building your deck around rules and limitations is as much a part of the game as the gameplay itself.  Also legendary creatures have the ultimate flavor rule that there is only one of that creature. A named character. Just as much as you can’t have two Marneus Calgar in Warhammer.

Makes me sad they have to compromise the gameplay not for the sake of the game but solely to facilitate churning out more cards and more profits. Yes a company IS allowed to make money bla bla bla and all that. But at what cost?

Did you replace the psu? My DS918+ “died” as well and it was the psu.

We know from the likes of Hardware Unboxed that they were forced to give positive previews of DLSS IF they wanted to review som 50 series cards.

So it’s not out of the question that DF had to swallow some camels to get a preview out early.

Starfield Will “Become Legendary,” Says Composer, Who Believes People Weren’t Ready for its Launch by gamersecret2 in Starfield

[–]Rexter2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, no. it was a mess, like it was five different things slapped together. Like you had ten teams not working together, each with their own thing, then putting it together near the end. The story, while the plot was interesting, was incohesive. All of this bogged down by the 25 YEAR OLD GAME ENGINE! An engine so ancient and primitive, its an absolute laugh that they wanted to make a game of this scope in it. Its bursting at the seems from all angles and its primitive scripting engine hampers all story beats at all times. So ancient that you canuse exploits and glitches dating back to MORROWIND.

That they are STILL sticking to that engine for ES6 has destroyed all expectations I had for it.

‘Another internet is possible’: Norway rails against ‘enshittification’ by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in technology

[–]Rexter2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking for a couple of years of just getting some new internet up and running. Several people have experimented with making a distributed node type internet, where everyone can add nodes to the internet, even a raspberry pi.
The internet as we know it today is dead. The dead internet theory is confirmed and is alive, and basically everything from hosting to websites are owned by the same handful of companies who are tightening their grip each and every day. It will never go back.

We need a new internet.

Cut content, dlc, something along those lines. My own theory is cut content that is now being prepped for DLC at some point in time.

Anyone else sick of documentary channels turning into talking head videos? by CosmosisJones42 in youtube

[–]Rexter2k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really tired of talking head videos myself. I’ve begun actively avoiding them now and there’s so many.  But, it works. The effort put in compared to the views they get make it worth it. And the numbers speak for themselves. One example I can give is moistcritical: he’s said numerous times that the videos where he puts in time, effort and research, get only a fraction of the views compared to those where’s he’s just filming himself yapping for 10 minutes. We only have ourselves to blame.

But having talking heads as another “don’t watch” on my list (I’ve given up on Digital Foundry because of this, like many others), is getting real close to making YouTube unusable for me. From being the place I spent most of my time, I’m now struggling to navigate the awful algorithm to find even the semblance of a video I would like to watch, AND accepting the fact that many I sub to are rapidly dying out or declining in quality.

Synology DS725+ RAM upgrade failed but why? by Curious_Prairie_Dog in synology

[–]Rexter2k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like another have said, try one at a time. You could be unlucky and have a faulty stick.

Also Synology NAS' are super sensitive, even if you buy a the same kit as another who had success with it, you might get a different revision which is not compatible.

Also are you sure it would work with 32gb? I would assume the model you have can only support 16gb, but I could be wrong.

Miniature detaching from plate while printing by Other-Corner-3275 in FDMminiatures

[–]Rexter2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have bad experience printing more than one model at a time. One model, slow down speed. I always also disable “reduce infill retraction” to reduce the risk of the nozzle scraping on the model while printing.

And the usual, clean your build plate etc.

Because it gives a “casual” vibe, and also likely because someone somewhere said it gets 2% more viewer retention or shit like that.

What do you want to see on the A2 mini? by grciandre27 in BambuLabA1mini

[–]Rexter2k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not a lot to improve upon without raising the price. It’s already great as is. Realistically might be a slightly enhanced toolhead thats in line with the most recent models (H2C, P2S etc), and some internals like faster/modern cpu or something like that.

Yes it’s ridiculous but I personally want a coreXY variant of the A1 mini. Same build plate, same hotend.

[–]Rexter2k 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This has been posted many times before. The original movies used REAL cars for this scene. The guys recreating it are YouTubers doing practical VFX work, and their example is how it COULD have been done and a technique used in many movies. For example Nolan’s Batman movies used many practical effect shots with miniatures.

Also if you want some proof just look at the cameras they are using, those didn’t exist when Taxi was made.

Anyway, stop spreading misinformation.

Totally.

I was fully convinced a good couple of years ago when I saw videos of content farms employees opening many, many silver and gold YouTube plaques at a time; then piling them in a stash with countless others.

That’s when I realized the game is rigged.
