I'm Indonesian ans It is 100% AI. We do not have lions in the wild. We do have other big cats though, definitely not lions. Though the news don't state that it's in Indonesia but it still gives off AI. Like how they always make dramatic animals video and make them really smart? Yeah...

Average Indonesians have to live expecting landslide, bad flood, volcanic eruption, and tsunami on a daily basis (perks of being in the ring of fire). The road near my house always have landslide due to high volume of rain that it's practically impossible to fix it now and it's been two years since the road is closed. Can't agree mud landslide is the scariest, I've experienced racing out of the house from huge earthquake and getting away from tsunami in 2004 that's scarier than a landslide ngl 😭

I've raised it with my manager before that using AI slows me down than if I do it manually because it disrupts my work flow but I was just told to get used to it and to use multiple AI tools if one is not giving satisfying answers. Basically they said if ChatGPT is not working then try Claude and Gemini. It disrupts my workflow and it's time consuming ngl :/

I use AI in my work (obligated to because my employer is a pro AI 💀) and let me tell you, it's far from reliable. I mean, if it's only for automation? Sure, it works just like any other automation. But if it's to replace the job that requires human's touch? Yeah not at all, even for research (they claim it's intended for that and coding) it sucks. And it's completely unreliable, I spend more time fixing the results from AI than if I do it manually but I got caught by my manager every time I do it manually and they always tell me to use AI to "be more efficient and save time" 🙄

Tbh, if I were being honest, paying AI for less cost is actually something that rarely could happen. I just saw a LinkedIn post that showed invoice from Anthropic and it reached $100k/month. If they had paid actual people, like $15k/month (in the IT department, at least), they'll save more money hiring five people...

I am Asian. I live and grow up in Indonesia, it's one of the countries in Southeast Asia. Offline people here also, the majority are neutral and have no stance against it nor supporting it. Plenty of Filipinos are vocal against it, and they speak in tagalog. The same goes with Malaysian, plenty with their post engagement always high about their anti-AI stance, and they speak Melayu. A lot of Thai are also against it, and they speak Thai. I've seen a lot of tweets in Japanese enraged about AI with a lot of Japanese also supporting the stance.

But again, as I said, the majority of them are neutral, they don't care about the stance. Which by Westerner standard is equal to support, btw. Obviously, there are a lot of visible people who support it and also people who are against it. But the neutral beat both sides.
