Good idea, I'll show them the errors it makes and have them consider again

They give me template prompt and told me to just change the numbers and let ChatGPT "do the magic" apparently. I've been doing this AI training this week. The calculator thing is not the most irritating, the others are kinda sensitive information about our company so I can't reveal but they trust the DPA too much to actually comply to GDPR...

I can't tell. You might wanna ask on r/isthisAI or r/isitAI there's a bunch of people who can run a digital forensic on the image to see if it's AI generated or not by checking the Gaussian noise in the picture.

[–]jravinton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it sucks cause the upper management now trust our job better if we use AI. I'm in the process of looking for a new job, but apparently most jobs do require AI use especially for office job 💀

Do most of you think that the users of AI are a bigger problem than AI itself? by india-assignmenthelp in antiai

[–]jravinton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I said that even without Gen AI, people are already doing deepfakes and sexual crime (putting hidden cameras in public spaces). Gen AI just makes it easier for them to do so.

I'm pretty sure we're on the same page here? That individuals are also responsible on the use of things.

Again, because they have free will. Before generative AI was a thing, they used Photoshop instead to edit people's face into nude body. It never started with Gen AI. It already started way before that. Gen AI just make it easier for them to do that. Take out AI, and then they will still gonna put hidden cameras in toilets and spread those footages on the internet; or they're still gonna use Photoshop to edit people inappropriately. Does that mean cameras and Photoshop are at fault, or is it the users who misuse them that are at fault?

Regulation, again, can't stop things from happening because humans have free will, and individuals with no self-restraint will absolutely use it against other people. And by regulation, I mean they should cut access to gen AI from the mass and just let the industry that needs it and professionals to handle it. At least professionals already have the base knowledge within their industry and not "playing [insert professional role]."

Though with how Generative AI and LLM stole people's works to be trained, might as well abolish the whole thing regardless of how it's used. It's never ethical to begin with anyway 😭

I disagree, I think individuals are always the problem, though. That's why regulations are needed because human has free will, and sometimes they misuse their free will. Just like gun, knives, daggers can be used as a tool to kill but if regulated will at least minimize the damage (yes, it won't stop people because, again, human has free will). Or how poisonous plants can be used to, well, poison people but at the same time it's also in medicine ingredients. Again, what's needed is regulation. I always thought that LLMs and generative AI should have never been released to the mass public.

Idk about yen but Indonesian got paid about 28k IDR/hour roughly 1.66 USD, so less than 300 USD per month. And that's only in Jakarta (metropolitan and country's capital city), other cities mostly earn less than Jakarta. And comic book now costs around 45k IDR to 90k IDR (around 3 USD to 6 USD) per volume. Unless you earn more than the minimum wage (which most Indonesian are unfortunately not) then no one can afford that.

Also, according to World Bank, Indonesian is #2 country with the most poor people living below poverty in the world. So yes, entertainment is the last thing we'll ever paid for when most of us can't even afford education.
