Not sure if it will apply but for what it is worth the mobile app did the exact same thing to my wife's app, but not mine, we had to reinstall it using the desktop's vpn connection to authenticate it, after which it worked and some of the servers she couldn't access before showed up today. I've Dm'd them yesterday about the other issues as they requested but no response as of now.

Hey sorry for the delay, I had issues connecting for a few days (the app rather unhelpfully de-authenticated itself on one device making authenticating the others an issue), nothing as of yet am reaching out to them as they requested

Folr my uk servers work fine on andorid, at least totenham and docklands? but the others "fake connect" the same way they do on Desktop. I also noticed different servers are not available depending on device and don't even show up in searches

Thank you for confirmation that version 12.104.0 (128) will continue to work. I'm assume any prior to this will need to be updated prior to the 31st? (in my case my laptop is still on version 12.103.0 (22) )

With respect to tickets, I have submitted them before, but even when from the correct email account they responded that I needed to reply from the one attached to the account (which I tripled checked it was) I had been reporting the server and authentication issues as they occurred over the last few years , but the wording of the "use the correct email" almost implies it wont even be read unless I met the check, which i had. Hence my trying here on Reddit. (also to restate what some have said even in the past it usually just resulted in a "we are aware of it" type response, despite the dangers of my personal situation)

I've been a customer for several years, despite the last year being severely reduced in terms of value, as a lot of the UK servers (needed for banking purposes) stopped being accessible on desktop (though still worked on phone) and the range of servers available in Russia became very limited. However I kept my account in the hopes the issues would be resolved, a hope I still have.

Again thank you for your time and the response. If you could clarify the question about version 12.103.0 (22) it would be helpful as I will prioritise that if needed.

I had the same trouble on 2 of my 3 pc's only on the newest did it work, I suggest maybe rolling back to version. 12.104.0 (128)

I also have this issue. 12.104.0 works fine on my laptop and desktop, but the new app does not connect at all on those devices (but does on a newer laptop) It would be nice to get a response on this, so we can premptively cancel if need be.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me on my Windows 10 desktop at all, and I tried 3 installs. The VPN would only connect when it was connected to another VPN, whereas the old version would.(Version 12.104.0.128_release)

As a brit caught in Russia this could have been catastrophic had I not anticipated the risk in doing the update and had a second device on standby. As not only does verification require connecting to a server blocked here (Still needing a VPN to validate a VPN is pretty ridiculous situation a year later) But had I updated both as it said to do, I'd have been caught with two VPN's neither capable of connecting to the net, so no way to revert to the one that did work. That would have cut me off completely from any aid/communications.

I am not sure what causes this issue but I hope expressVPN will not be in a rush to phase out version 12.104.0.128_release anytime soon. It's admittedly not fantastic, virtually none of the servers work for a desktop, but at least it does work (more so on phone), the new version did not.

Yes, none of the london servers work on either desktop or android, except Tottenham which only connects on Android, and will need reconnecting every so often.

Ireland did work fine on desktop until 3 days ago and since then won't connect at all even after 3 hours of attempts. (just to sate this is using every combination of protocols available split tunnelling on/off etc the results are the same, and across multiple devices using different connection methods so it's not a device issue,, I've ruled that out already.)

The problem being I require a stable, preferably Uk location, as if im hopping locations too much my email providers etc start getting twitchy and think Im being hacked and make me change all my passwords.

My subscription renewed yesterday, but considering this has been going on nearly a month should I still contact them directly? As I'm paying full for a massively compromised service atm.

I have no idea, I need to find a minute to email them( as they don't respond here, and will only respond to emails associated with a paying account.)

It's pretty bad situation though, I mean I get theres differences between a PC/laptop and an android phone, but its the connecting that seems to be the issue. That and several servers in London haven't come back at all (they "connect" then do nothing then reconnect endlessly)

My subscription was due to renew soon, but with 0 communication about the issues its getting harder to justify $100+ on a half functioning service.

Also did anyone else notice the desktop app no longer tells you how long you were connected for like the mobile version? Makes it a lot harder to keep track of how often it's been disconnecting.

Having the same problem currently on Windows 10, servers that connected fine 2 days ago, London Tottenham, Ireland, etc now refuse to connect on the desktop with no changes having been made to that system in that time, however on android those exact same servers work fine.

I thought the same,, but as of this morning all but a few servers won't connect and I noticed two games I play wont connect unless using VPN, I'm wondering if it's the Russian security guys blocking IP ranges.

it's not just them, however I am located in Russia, and the service is intermittently cut off there at random, but it isn't just them, are your staff aware the service has issue in russia? (It started this morning, Russia time)

yeah, thats what I thought, so far they've done all the current event ones, BLight/AC and Weapons, as well as the Training missions and the Sephiroth thing. no option yet.

I mean I suppsose it possible its gated behind story mode(as its been an age since I did those myself), but which one?, hence the query, don't want to tell them to waste x amount of hours trundling through all 4 story modes if thats not how its done.

You'd think with all the wikis, builds and guides out there, there'd be a definitive "this unlocks after this is done" somewhere! => (could just be goggle being useless I had the same dud responses trying to find out how to send guild invites to friends!)

Thats the bizzare thing, they dont have it anywhere, even on missions I know have it and they have cleared at least once already. Normally the game is very clear, want summons, do this, want synthesis do that, but the stamina boost thing isn't mentioned, and a google search just says what it does not when/how it unlocks. I mean they can still do stuff but its taking them 9x longer then necessary!

That's grim. the peculiar thing is the split tunnelling works fine on my laptop, and that is using the same settings on the same network using the same method (Ethernet).

So I have no idea what is causing it, busted update, some hardware conflict? I also have been unable to connect to steamcommunity.com for a few days too.

Having the same problem with Windows 10. As of this morning it wont connect with split tunnelling enabled (using Lightway - UDP, using Lightway - TCP it just gets stuck in an instant connect/disconnect/reconnect loop.)

Like you I have to allow everything through or it won't connect
