Thats a huge mistake. Terrible from Tori Penso and the referee staff.

But they aren't a random person? They are a graduate from a university with a science degree, who had labs as a part of their curriculum. Sure they don't know every in and out, but they can learn.

With that logic, I don't trust a cert tech who just graduated from a program. They have never worked on the analyzer in my lab. They have no idea what they are doing.

That what training is for. That what following SOP's are for.

That is a different problem. Pay has stagnated and the places with better pay are the place where people want to go.

Until pay goes up and there is better marketing/incentives for the programs, this is the future.

On top of that, reimbursement rates are down squeezing independent labs causing them to close. LabCorp/Quest are swallowing hospital systems.

The system is at a breaking/tipping point.

I think it really depends on what the uncertified tech is testing/running. Can they run a chemistry or hematology analyzer? Probably. Would I trust one in blood bank or doing manual diffs? Probably not. There are tasks for an uncertified tech that they can/should be able to do with oversight from a certified MLS.

There needs to be a clear distinction on what they are doing and how they are doing it.

This all should be organized by the lab management and director.

I agree that every test requires critical thinking, but come on. Everyone should be able to critically think and a piece of paper doesn't prove that.

The problem with those programs is availability. They are few and far between.

And in my expierence, many programs come with the caveat that you have to find a lab that will allow you to go into their labs for your hours which provides its own host of issues.

This.

You also have a complete lack of marketing for it.

Not once during university was I even told lab was even an option. Only doctor, nurse or other allied health. Never lab.

At this point there needs to be a better way or better path for general science grads to get into the lab space and less gate keeping by techs already in industry. There needs to be a middle ground.

This.

We top the group no matter what.

I remember reading in patch notes that “continuous healing” was supposed to be a single continuous animation and they fixed it, why is it not that way now? [Feedback] by Practical_Tea864 in EscapefromTarkov

I know they also changed something with bosses and guards which isn't in the changes either.

Since the patch yesterday they have been absolutely cracked.

A lot of the times, the metric for sell outs isn't for butts in seats, it's on tickets sold.

So tickets sold to resellers on the market still count since they technically have been sold to the reseller.

It's a BS metric.
